In the next expansion, please reduce the numbers again

I don’t know about others guys, but personally, I’m getting really annoyed by all these huge numbers.
In the Midnight expansion, we’re going back to level 90 again.
Why?
Why can’t we just always scale back item levels and the max level cap?
Why do we have to grind through 90 levels again?
What’s the max HP going to be? 50 billion?
Will a single auto attack deal 100 million damage?

Pls no

bruh, the stat squish has already been confirmed ages ago

One expansion we get stat squish and 2 expansions later we get the same big numbers.
The circle of life can be cruel.

Numbers become huge again because the item level jump from season to season is in the order of ~50, whereas in the past it was around ~20.

If I remember correctly, an item level increase of 1 translateds to approximately 1% higher stats compared to the previous item level. This means that increasing one’s item level by 1 corresponds to around 1% increase of primary stat and 1% increase of secondary stats. So going from 639 (highest item level of Season 1) to 723 (highest of Season 3) corresponds to an increase of (1+0.01)^84 => 131% increase of primary stat and 131% of secondary stats. This does not translate to just 131% higher dps, but much much more because not only does 1% primary stat contribue to more than 1% performance, but secondary stats also affect each other multiplicatively instead of additively.

You see, this is where things get extremely frustrating for the average player who wants to read the forums. The frustrating thing is people like you, Häven, who don’t bother to do any research before making a post.

If you had taken just a moment before posting, you could have gone to Google and typed in a simple question like, “Are they going to do a stat squish in Midnight?” You would have immediately found confirmation from official sources and Blizzard themselves that it is, in fact, happening.

Instead of educating yourself, you’re just creating more forum spam about a topic that has already been definitively answered. We’ve had stat squishes before, and given what we’re seeing in The War Within, it’s evident it’s going to happen again. It’s very obvious.

So, I’m going to reiterate: please take the time to research topics you want to discuss on the forums. It makes it easier for everyone to have a proper, decent conversation, rather than having to inform you that this information was confirmed a long time ago.

In the time it took you to navigate to the website, log in, type this post, and hit enter, you could have gone to Google and found your answer in a fraction of the time.

Already going to happen

You guys calling them out on the lack of reading missed the part where they complained about the high character level.

Easily fixed by not raising item level anymore!

Just lower everything to vanila level, and lower raise of levels by xpack. But,dont stop with adding levels every xpack, even by 5 for xpack,up to 200

Stat Squish Confirmed for Midnight - MrGM Fireside Chat with Ion Hazzikostas - Wowhead News

Guild wars does this so much better. They never make the lvl higher they keep the max lvl the same keep the integrity of the game sane with good scaling. You can play any dungeon at max lvl and all gear is legit good, not just current season.

But on topic please stats squish im beggin you.

Its so annoying and immature they clog up the forums and spam rubbish. Yet no matter how many times reported the mods do not follow there own rules about bumping and spamming.
