In which expansion did you enjoy your class the most?

Which spells and mechanics do you miss from that era?

As my main(s) used to be Shadowpriest and Elemental shaman wrath was my favorite expansion and in wrath because of haste stacking i truly enjoyed all the casters before they started to force all the proc crap on every caster.

I miss the simplicity of just seeing 3-5 bolts in the air simultaneously compared to trying to get procs in order to get something light up for mediocre damage.

Tbc! I miss the old tree form…also being able to put 3 lifebloom stacks…and hurricane…

MoP demonology with Metamorphosis. No spec iteration has even come close to the satisfaction it felt when playing that masterpiece.

Stance dancing, demonic leap, chaos dmg. Just so much flexibility to adjust your playstyle depending on the situation.

TBC prot paladin… I was unstoppable.

Tbc, wotlk, mop, legion.

I used to be a shadow priest main in Legion, and to me it’s still the most fun I’ve ever had playing this game. The feeling of fluidity of shifting in and out of voidform, trying to extend the voidform as long as possible, was something I’ve not found in any other spec so far. I also especially loved that the spec didn’t rely on CDs at all and just did it’s thing.

I only rerolled to warlock because of how gutted shadow got once we lost our artifacts, and I hated the SL revamp too.

While WoD had many, many issues, class design wasn’t one of them.

It seems that the great prune remains as unpopular as ever.

I loved playing Assa Rogue in WoD/Legion. My favorite ability was Death from Above (I know it is still ingame) and I would use it in WPvP as my finishing move.

Ah good memories, only Ferals and other Rogues were a threat back then. Now everything has PvE gear, and I usually just die in a few seconds to something that overgears me. Yesterday I got hit by “the Hunt” whatever that is supposed to be for like 40k lol.

Hmm… Probably Cataclysm survival hunter. Throwing snakes in people’s faces amused me greatly.

Vanilia Paladin:… lol
Tbc Paladin:… alright i guess
Wolk paladin; was alright but if it was like that now they’d instantly get nerfed
Cata Paladin: honestly don’t remember much from it other then the voice of deep being awesome until the warriors cried really loudly and the procs got nerfed
mop paladin; had that annoying inquisition so that was unfun
wod paladin: pretty nice
Legion: paladin is the one i enjoyed the most even if our identity got gutted i really enjoyed the abilties of the ashbringer
Bfa Paladin: meh
SL Paladin: sighs

so in conclusion legion was the most fun note though i can only judge based on ret i don’t play holy or protect and have since the start even when we was loladins

Paladin - Wrath. I miss shiny Auras but otherwise I barely remember how it played but I remember not liking the changes after that.

Shammy - MOP. I miss lightning bolt on the move, insta-chain lightning too. I also miss totems, I barely use the current ones as they are reactive and only last a few seconds.

Rogue (Outlaw) - Legion. I miss Bribe.

I never really had a main, I mostly played all classes/specs, but in every exp I had a spec that I played more than others. MoP - assa rogue, WoD - unholy dk, Legion - frost dk, BfA - ww, SL - havoc.

Not to list all the things I miss, let’s just say that I miss the MoP class design, and I have to admit that in the DF beta the classes look great. For the first time after the MoP, I can say that I am (finally) satisfied.

As for havoc, the spec I played the most in this exp, I don’t miss anything since I started playing it for the first time in the SL s2. Let’s just say that I always felt that it needed a few more buttons, tools, slow without sacrificing stun, a bit better survivability, and all of this is addressed in DF. Havoc will be a fairly improved version of the current havoc.

as i played paladin most i would say wotlk

Legion elemental.

We had like 5 different viable speccs each feeling unique.

Then bfa happened.

Brain finally working again - made a new post.

Wrath at the time but going back to being a mana user is hilarious coming from Retail.

I also enjoyed my class during MoP and WoD.

BfA and SL were okay.

This is factually inaccurate.

Mists and WoD.

Mists especially. I didn’t feel I only had 5 buttons to use for the main rotation, but wasn’t overwhelmed either.

I feel we had a good balance back then, and pretty nice flow. The only thing that was a pity is that we were kinda forced into one and only talent choice for each row.
