They were told the whole thing was ingame.
Spent a week trying the most random farfetched stuff to make the secret progress. Only to find out nothing was gonna happen for another week.
Bit of a waste of time for no reason.

Probably yes, but only its the first time I actually got involved into trying to solve one. I had a blast of a time and met some really great people along the way. So no it will never make sense to complain.

It is a nice thing to have treasure hunts like these. The problem is only if and when there is a limited time

Anyway you’ll never know until you try to understand every single step you need to do in order to get 10% of the progress done
Lets not forget the red herring you might find, the puzzle is just not good
I didn’t have a problem with knowing chinese but cipher, decode code decode code decode half decode ? nah you would lose your sanity trying to solve this one alone

The problem for me is that if it is true they gave the cycle on orb 9 because of complaints it kind of invalidates this for me.

It’s not true.

The puzzle was great, even step 9 it turns out we were largely overthinking. The -1 shift right at the end was a little cruel but honestly not that bad given we knew we were on the right track.

You didn’t need to know Chinese. The Chinese version was just incorrectly implemented which made it easier, leading it to be solved first.

Don’t forget when mounted on the Felcycle you can use the ‘Override Sequence’ spell in the General Spellbook that allows you to enter numbers
It allows you to enter codes
So far we know:
17 - Performs a variety of animations at random
418 - You lay an egg
