Increase shard size, decrease the amount of shards.

Please. It feels like a single player game.
Every direction this game has taken in the past few years is absolutely anti-mmo.

Let's not even talk about the rng infested gear drops... When will blizzard realize that this system is garbage and doesn't belong in the game? Give back <WotLK gear system, where if you got something, THAT'S IT. No need to pray to rngesus just to get a BiS... what a joke.

Give back <WotLK gear system

I like that idea.
Bump? It's a serious issue... Or do people really love playing this game as a single player?
personal loot was introduced to stop ninjas , but imo all that was needed was the punishment for being a ninja was losing your item and getting a temp ban

It defeats the point of sharding if you increase the playerbase in one shard. Sarding works both ways it's splits players AND bring them together.

Ah, you're on Argent dawn. There's no sharding there.
Increase ________ size, decrease the amount of ________.
That's some freudian trick right there, I swear.
You know, maybe I am misunderstanding you so I apologise in advance if that is the case, I started levelling a new alt a couple of nights ago. It's a nelf druid and I'm sticking to kalimdor so currently at level 19 I'm doing darkshore quests and I've been fighting other players for mobs (quest where you kill a mob then use a branch to res a treant) so I really don't feel like the world is empty and that's in low level area.

On my 120 I see loads of other players about too, doing WQs or farming. Both horde and alliance. I genuinely don't get why people feel the world is empty. I don't disbelieve you I just don't get it.

Also just to clarify I'm on a low pop server too.

There were many ways to punish ninjas without making the loot system absurd. (Lock namechange if you get a high value raid/dungeon item for a period of time, make previous aliases known if they name changed... so that everyone knew who they were even if they name changed, a report system that would flag the person as a ninja, preventing the character to be server-transfered etc if enough people report that person and the case gets looked into)

And i wasn't even talking about personal loot as much as i'm talking about the stupid titanforge system where you literally depend on RNG on top of RNG to get a BiS item, instead of a raid gear piece dropped, and it was BiS, no need to pray for any rng !@#$...

You sure? Because being in one of the most highly populated servers i never seen more than 3 different people whilst leveling 110 to 120 per zone. People somehow magically appear when you're near WQ's from different realms.

Argent Dawn doesn't have sharding and that was the request of the RP community, not just AD but Moon Guard US and Wyrmrest Accord US as well. You choose to play on a RP realm at the end of the day, you could always move to another server if you don't like it.

Many RPers don't want sharding, it was removed for a reason after all. However it is active in current content zones, go see Vol'dun, for example.

You do realise without sharding we'd have mili-second MS lag in major cities. On RP realms we already have this inside Stormwind, and it's entirely because the city doesn't have sharding because it's an RP realm.

Sad to say sharding is now compulsory for World of Warcraft unless they find some other method. It's also useful to prevent overcrowding.

Also I don't know about this "single player game" comment, on my realm Boralus is absolutely packed in Warmode and non Warmode.

The rest of your post isn't worth a valid reply, RNG has been part of World of Warcraft since forever. It's part of the MMO genre in its entirety. Back years ago, it was qqing about ninja looting. Blizzard fixed the problem, and now, "omg too much rng give us back ninja looting".

Yeah no thanks.

Current content is all that matters in current WoW, and that's what i was talking about. Old content is dead, who the hell cares being in the game with so many continents and so many worlds, old world is meaningless except for RP. That's what i am talking about... Current zones have a lot of sharding and that's a problem.

Lol do you hear yourself? Boralus! Of course, it's the main city where everyone AFK's! You couldn't give a better example couldn't you, because you don't give two !@#$s about the issue. Go to other zones and tell me if you meet a lot of people there, because you wont.

RNG was always a part of the game, sure, but you're absolutely, undoubtedly delusional if you think what we have now is anything like it used to be. Before the only RNG you had is for the item to drop, now you hope for the item to drop AND for it to titanforge AND for it to have the right traits. Do you not see the problem? Then i'm sorry but you're part of the reason current WoW is just so %^-*ing awful.
I agree OP

Warmode? Are the other realms mostly RP ones?

People can still join if they join a group that's based on AD but they dont get put there automatically.
