I have 50 alts. Not that I play actively, but which I collect for fun.
In Dragonflight, I’ll create at least one more (my Evoker), but probably several depending on what new cosmetics become available.
Please raise the limit!

Wont happen because Blizzard want you to purchase another account for the second 50, and therefore another sub!

There was a point to be made about storage space when that restriction was originally created.
That restriction is loooong since irrelevant.
I agree, although I do think there should be a limit so people don’t just make endless characters in a form of weird denial of service or costs attack. I suggest 400 - that’e enough for one of every race/class combo in the game.

To be fair, it’s 200 at the moment. I know as I was curious and counted it myself. 100 combo for each faction. But 400 would be even better 
Since we will have less restrictions in the future, that should be perfect. No one has to actively play all the characters they make. But if they want to have all possible combinations I do not see why it should be anyone’s business since it does not affect anyone else but the person with the account. People need to stay in their lane and stop pushing their nose in others’s business.

Well you can have as many characters as you want, you just need to pay for another subscription, so no one is really stopping you except you.
I wouldn’t care if they increased the cap, I currently have around 40 characters and I play like 5 max, and I could delete like 20 if I really had to. If you really need to create a new character I am sure there is at least one that ca nbe deleted.
Sadly, I’m pretty sure they want you to create another account for that because money.
Whoopsies. I counted gender as well, in which case it doubles obviously. :x
Anyway, IMO it can’t be infinite, but it can be enough to let you make as many as you could ever want.

An increase from 50 to 55 would be great and probably enough for a lot of players.

Just increase from 50 to 150
I’ve never hit the max character limit, and I too make alts to farm mounts and in-game events.
If you’re hitting maximum cap, you’re simply hoarding. That being said. I don’t see the harm in increasing the cap either way.
I’d be more happier if they increased the cap of quests more than character limit though.

I just find it fun to build different chars, that’s all. Takes up a lot of space though!
By building you mean creating lvl 1 alt and just let gim sit in character screen? thats not reason for more slots. Level your all your chars to lvl 60 then return and ask for more slots.
Why 100, why not 200?!.., if there isn’t any logic or reason behind having a limit on how many characters you can create.

I think you have created great post with an idea I like. So, I say to you, good job.
I like your idea even more. 200 character will be fantastic. Less player will encounter the limit.

So in one post you not only assume how I play and level my characters, but based on your (false) assumption you also manage to tell me I’m playing the game wrong. Cool, cool.
ITs not aummption. Lot of people when they say they are cap out on characters they actualy mean they have like 3-4 max level chars then rest is just sits there on lvl 1-60. If you dont have your 50 chars maxed out -twinks you have noi right to ask for more slots.
When you pay for my subscription, then your opinion gains relevance, and you can have an effect my needs, wishes and desires, at least where game issues are concerned.
As you don’t, I’ll play as I like thank you very much, and I’ll ask for what I want as well, while I’m at it. After all Blizzard can only decline…
