Why was it added? In retail it’s understandable, but is Classic getting retail content updates these days?
As far as I know, Classic was meant to satisfy the nostalgia and feel “as it was then”. The existence of incubus significantly alters the experience because it adds satyr sounds to the “crowd noise”.
Also, the Classic model is really bad - looks as if it was made on knees.
That sht is wrong everywhere.
The thing was supposed to be a male equivalent of the Succubus, even at that it was wrong to be added, but in-game it is actually a weird looking transgender pet with the body of a man, the face of a woman, and is super camp.
It was added because Blizzard has insane diversity/woke nuts in their office who want to push that agenda into their games.
I highly doubt I’ll make it into WOTLK if they do it, since they’ll add and remove more totally dumb maybe a bad word, maybe not.
Ok, but why Classic? It’s supposed to be a historical reconstruction.

If you’re confused about why the Incubus was added that’s because it’s a hollow gesture, a show of ‘equality’ that’s really just them virtue signalling to show they aren’t inept, don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. The reality is the company is run by out of touch boomers and staffed mostly by people that are saturated in the Californian political bubble. Blizzard tried to show how progressive they are by turning pictures of women in to fruit. Editing lines of dialogue, quests, removing emotes etc. Only someone from California can simultaineously treat the female form like it’s horrendously evil, like it needs to be hidden, like it’s shameful act to depict it while also proclaimining they ‘respect’ women.
The most vocal dev on twitter started working at Blizzard in BFA. These ‘changes’ were made because ‘they’ wanted them even when obnoxiously progressive sites like reddit were cringing at their behaviour, instead of stopping themselves they doubled down on their changes claiming the game isn’t made for the people playing it. The boneheaded devs then blamed their playerbase for their own house behaviour, their abject failures, the fact they didn’t maintain a healthy working environment etc. That should give you an idea of just what you’re dealing with. People that can’t even take personal responsibility or aren’t seemingly even self aware.

(Yes I know there are good people left on the Classic team that want to make the game as well as the company what it used to be but they should hopefully know this isn’t directed at them.)
While WoW Classic was just as it was back then with a “No Changes” PoV (which had flaws to be fair), they said that they’re bringing the “Some Changes” mentality to Burning Crusade Classic instead, to put things short. Hence the Incubus making it to BCC.
Basically just what I said, they have insane selfish diversity nuts working there who want to push it. It should only be in Retail, but as history has long showed, Blizzard do not care, whatsoever.
