Inexplicable Overheating

Since last Wednesday’s restart, I have been experiencing inexplicable overheating while playing WoW. I have never had a problem with overheating, especially with WoW, where I had ultra setup. My laptop has always allowed me to play even new games with the best graphic settings. Even now, I’m able to play Doom Eternal at maximum details, and my CPU stays at a nice 70 degrees. However, when I turn on WoW, my CPU reaches 96 degrees, even with low graphic settings.

All my drivers are updated. I had my fans professionally cleaned and the cooling paste replaced month ago. The temperature in my gaming room is consistently 22 degrees thanks to the thermostat-controlled AC. The laptop itself is placed on a solid surface, and no other programs are running in the background. I tried turning off all addons, but nothing helped.

Turn vsync on?
What is your fps reading while this overheating occurs?
Make sure the display scaling in Wows options is set to 100%.

Thanks for answer :]
I tryed to turn on/off sync, but its doesnt look like its have any effect for my problem.
My framerate is between 45 and 50 FPS
My display scaling is for 100%

Make sure your dedicated GPU is selected ingame.

Are those 50 fps in dornogal or where?

What settings are you using?

How old is your Notebook?
Might be time to clean/repaste the components.
