Feral druids need a healing debut to be competitive in current meta, failing convoke leaves us too weak for the next 2 minutes. I was thinking of something like this:
“Applying Infected Wounds has a chance to reduce enemy healing done by 20%, decaying 5% every second”
What we do need is for our slow to be put on shred, not rake, and be buffed to normal 50%. Or at least more than 20%, we do after all have higher movement speed ourselves.
Feral needs anything and everything that can make our bleeds better.
A Feral has full snapshotted bleeds on a target aaaannnd… nothing, it literally doesnt matter
Most ferals in PvP don’t even apply Rip anymore because its just not worth it over spamming bite. Like THE ONE ABILITY THE ENTIRE SPEC IS BUILT AROUND is so god damn useless people don’t even apply it in PvP
This is just another problem with feral, it was designed around high sustained damage pressure with tiny burst windows around tigers fury but the developers put all the power into ferocious bite
The thing is MS makes sense for classes that need time to kill, i.e Feral in this example
Retribution paladins don’t need MS because they kill in Wings, they are either 0% power or 150% power in and outside of wings, you don’t need healing reduction when you just go 1-2-BLAM and dead
Feral however is designed to slowly wither away at a target and use CC to slowly lower their average health. Mortal Strikes, reducing the effectiveness of healing effects is EXACTLY what feral needs, because the longer the game goes on with dampening, the more dangerous it becomes.
Feral is a hybrid BECAUSE it has this playstyle, Feral has insane heals because of a reason, the entire theory behind Feral is a spec that needs time to do its damage.
Feral as a spec is just upside down, the current devs have no clue what they want feral to be, i mean they seem to viscerally HATE all DoT classes with a passion, just look att Affliction warlocks, Malefic Rapture their version of ferocious bite is their entire damage window
