Ive been thinking about why a MMORPG like WoW doesnt have hobbies for RP reasons:
Singing, Playing an Instrument, Playing Card Games, Dice Games, Drawing, Writing/Inscribing.
They could range from simple animations to full- blown features like players being able to create items with “Writing” like books or little flavour text stuff.
Combined with Drawing- if a phone can have a drawing software that is advanced enough to handle proper illustration techniques, i imagine wow could also. Not to a high end level but you know what i mean. It could even be a seperate APP that creates ingame paintings- items which you can trade and use it for decor for the new incoming housing.
We already got an addon that is called “Musician” which covers the musical part of it- why not integrate it?
Card/dice games are pretty self explainatory.
I think Blizzard avoids “free-form” drawing and writing because it could (and would) be abused in some cases to write or draw inappropriate or illegal things.
As for other hobbies, there are some possibilities with in-game toys like the 12-string something, perhaps in combination with in-game items like the off-hand harp, or the weapon that looks like a guitar.
There’s a couple (or more?) Hearthstone based in-game toys, some of which can be used to play actual mini-games if I remember correctly.
There are a few ball / disc toys in-game that can be used to … play ball. 
I’m sure I’ve forgotten lots, but there are also those “Crashin’ Thrashin’” in-game toys that can be used for various competitions.
I remember LotRo having a note system for in-game musical instruments (maybe it was only lutes, I don’t remember), so that should be possible.
Maybe the reason WoW doesn’t have that (yet), is that (as far as I know) there are very few (or no) lore examples of musical instruments - except the Tauren Chieftains and Blightboar (at the Darkmoon Faire).
Just like … anything else ?
I mean you can technically write books and turn them into items by sending yourself a letter through the mail and the coppy of it remains a physical item which you can send others and trade.
12 string guitar is a reward from a Diablo X WoW event, which is not accessable to some or most players also its CD is very long and animation is very lazily done.
The Hearthstrone game is something I really liked, wish it was tad bit more advanced.
Wish each Inn had its Hearthstone game on each table where you could play for small rewards or something or even for fun to pass the time.
Addons …
There were once plans for a dance studio/unique dances, it was teased in WotLK and WoD.
Hope with housing it might be added?
