Ingame information lacking in regards to Duel-wielding. (Zea's complaint.)

Hallo everyone, I recently had an unfortunate discovery. That i would like to put out there, and hear what people have to speak about, so first of all I would like to present the following 3 screenshots first:

imgur. com/a/eBe4ftN (remove the space and it works, post dosen’t let me have links)

Here we can see Obsidian Seared Hexblade, The monk spellbook - weapon skills, and then the game telling me i cannot duel-wield.
Now this lead to me being confused…as I am sure i have seen monks duelwield…I have nothing in the game telling me i can’t duel-wield as mistweaver, in fact the game is telling me i still can.

So naturally I contact the support to ask, and try and figure this out, and what I wrote cna be found here: imgur. com/a/D4EpWhf

So, Time passes, and i get a reply.
Effectively saying: We cannot give back currency like spark of dreams, just because someone crafted the wrong item, and provided me a link to where they explained this a bit more, and a link with information about duel-wielding.
The reply can be seen here: imgur. com /a/u1qs0VB
The little bit cut out was simple them saying They wish me a good day.

All good, not the reply i was hoping for but fair enough. so I check out the link about duel wielding. What i found that is relevant can be found here: imgur. com /a/GFUXU7M

Note: This page still talks about hit-rating, I am quite sure this isn’t how it works today, nor is Monk even listed as a class. So i assume this is an outdated link the GM provided me, or WoWhead isn’t up to date.

NEVERTHELESS! This dosen’t explain why i can’t Duel-wield my hexblades.
So i write two new replies, because two different fields of topic. They can be seen here:

Effectively me expressing I didn’t find infomation within the game, about this problem, and in fact the game specifically told me - that I should be able to duel-wield, and nothing told me i shouldn’t be able to with these or other weapons.
And my reaction to the wowhead site, the GM used as reference…

This lead to the following reply from blizzard: imgur. com/a/eBawF0g

Now my main issue with this answer is very simple:
“A gaming tip: Check thoroughly before, dunning, and after you purchases for total confidence.”

The thing i did…I checked adventure guild for possible weapons, I checked my weapon skills, I checked the crafted, I then did some calcs and found out what would provide me the most stats, and effect without having an activated ability…because…I didn’t really want another button… So this resulted in me being somewhat salty and lead to the following reply from me: imgur. com/a/COYm0Rv

So…I am a bit lost now, and unsure how to feel about the whole thing. I love this game, I have invested alot of time and money into it, Im not gonna quit or anything, this ultimately dosen’t chance how i feel about the game as a whole…just…confused, and upset?

But i am very interested in hearing about what you all think about this.

If I remember correctly, for dualwielding you need an one hand or main hand and in the other hand an offhand to dualwield.

If that is true, that thank you for this information, but that information still needs to be available to the players… And the GM need to provide better information then a link that says:

" Dual Wield, as the name and tooltip suggests, allows a character to equip a damage-dealing weapon in your offhand. Candidates include items marked as '[One-Hand]or ‘[Off Hand]’ weapons, as '[Main Hand]( items can only be equipped in your main hand.** "

Because this information, dosen’t excluded two, “one handed” weapons.

Quick experiment on a rogue, have told me that isn’t the case, two one handed weapons is possible, as is “main hand” + “One hand” and “main hand” + “off hand” and “one hand” + “off hand”

Fury warrior now also wields two “Two handed” weapons.

Mistweaver can’t dual wield, the tool tip shouldn’t say that for the spec.
WW and BrM can dual wield.

One-handed weapons can be dual wielded.

This, dual wielding a melee thing. Casters can use 2h or 1h + offhand regardless.

See, I had this thought aswell, and I did check this before I made the items. And by checking i mean inspecting skills and so on.

And as these pictures show, there is no information difference when it comes to windwalker, that indicates duel-wielding is any different, for Mistweaver, then it is for Windwalker…

Mistweaver cannot Duel Wield.

Why can t Mistweaver dual wield?

Mistweavers essentially have two weapon options: a two-handed staff, or a caster weapon and an off-hand. They won’t be able to heal with Agility weapons (the monk will have no spellpower) and may not even be able to dual wield (since you can’t dual wield caster weapons).

I am sorry that the tooltip is incorrect for Mistweaver, but having played one since the introduction I can confirm we have never been able to dual wield weapons. Only Windwalker and Brewmaster can.

Hopefully the GM will point this out to the dev’s and they can fix it in one of their hotfixes but I doubt it as it will be very low priority for them.
