Yup, been sitting here for 45 min now and still initializing…wtf on reset day and in prime time for raiding…really? come on it’s 2024 this shouldn’t happen

Just keep pausing for 10 sec and then start downloading. For short while the speed jumps into stratosphere. I’ve managed to download this crap just by hitting pause 3 times.

What is it with these evening EU mandatory 200MB - 544MB updates?!
Dialup speed.
And tonight, is NOT the first time either.
The download doesn’t even make a dent on my up/download speed.
I even did a Scan and Repair.
Normal updates, those go well.
But these ****** *** ***** **** evening updates.

Exactly! From what I know they didn’t get any patch in the US… and why the dial-up speeds?! And no, in my case, killing the blizz agent, restarting, restarting the router, nothing works… I have paused and restarted the damn download at least 30 times.

Same problem , but with speed for update. 22kb/s …
Pause DL for 10/15 sec. Relaunch, speed will go up then fall again. Do this till you finished downloading

Tried VPN It is much better now… I really hope I won’t get banned because suddenly “I logged in from the USA”

I got a temporary fix, that worked for me.
I restarted the PC.
launched Battle.net
saw “Play” + “update paused”, so… I pushed play and I am now ingame.
And update is paused.
Can’t make this happen. I finally got some mb in, but it stopped at a point where there’s like 10mb left and the speed dropped to 1kb… now it’s stuck again…
Same here…updating from about an hour…I`m withgbit network and this is just absurd…
Passed the initializing part, and now the real download started… 515.23 MB @100kb speed. You gotta be kidding me at this point. I’m done, going to watch a movie or something, this is ridiculous.
Stuck on Intitializting for 1 and a half hours, its going extremyl slowly, fix this buggy client.

also restarted everything i have, so this is a blizzard problem ! missed raid today also ! thnx alot

Just finished Initializing after like 45min… Now it started a 500mb download going at between 100-300kb/s

I waited 50 min for the “initializing” and yet it was only 30% done. So I rather tried a few things: restart Bnet, computer, router, turned off firewall etc. For last resort I tried using VPN and it has done it in 1 minute. Unbeliveable.
