there are too many character damage imbalances in the game, and also in mythic+ or raid, these players receive only certain classes and are rejected even if other players are good. the simplest case is hunter priest monk, etc. characters are excluded and chilled out from the game, or unintentionally cause a worse player community if they don’t know other classes. that’s why I would like to send a return and ask that this problem be fixed without forcing more players out of the game.
For the bulk of the playerbase class doesn’t matter. If you are in the 0.1% then yes class may be something you pick carefully.
Hunters have a spot in raids and so do WW monks, even if its just for debuff because of no BM and MW.
Hunters damage is more than fine for Mythic Raids.
WW monks have the issue that they don’t have a range spec and frankly Melee spots are limited (this goes for every melee, not just hunters. Yes, even the meta specs)
Shadow Priests are also good on the last two bosses so this justifies bringing them too.
All 3 DPS classes can run +17s.
If a guild declines a good player because the class isnt “meta” (and not other reasons like a full roster for that class/position) then congratulation, you dodged a trash guild.
In M+ people will always chase the meta (and more often than not brick the key because it won’t prevent a wipe if people don’t use defensives, interrupts etc njada njada)
For Blizzard, they can try to improve the class/spec balance, which is possible.
For players, they can stop being meaninglessly, unnecessarily, overly picky, which is clearly impossible.
No matter how balanced the game is, players will always look for fotm and meta. It is more of a people issue instead of game issue, unfortunately.
