Input delay issue while doing my rotation

Hi guys ,

I really need help with my issue i grt back to wow before couple of months and after doing mythic+ it was unplayable the delay on pressing making me so crazy its like 1 sec~ extra on the global cd i found someone explain this issue with more details you can search “The snappy feeling of wow is gone:Addressing input delay issues” since i cant post links here and he added a gif photo which similar to what happen to me.

After remix released i started to play remix and never found that weird lag so i really enjoy playing remix and doing mythic+ there but today i came back to retail and this weird lag is still there.

I have tried everything

1- deleted all addons

2- deleted the game and reinstalled again

3- played the game in brand new pc

4- played the game in intetnet cafe

The problem is same so at this point im 100% sure the problem isnt from my pc since there is no problem with remix and only on retail.

This lag happen everywhere on dummies outside world and inside mythic+ and raids

i don’t think it’s input lag related to gpu rendering
i think it’s an issue with the game
it’s most noticeable for me when playing ret paladin and it’s the reason why i don’t play paladins anymore

So what do you think the problem is ? Like there is no problem with remix and classic wow

Some people with nvidia cards have reported this issue iirc .if you have infact the nvidia card then try juggling with some settings in game . Like nvidia reflex and nvidia dlss .

You can also try moving from dx12 to dx11 and see if that solves your problems .

try nvidia reflex+boost option for low latency mode and check if you enabled optimize network for speed option under network section, that works fine for me

I think the problem is with the global cooldown
it feels different (longer) than what the action bars show

in remix with high haste it probably becomes unnoticeable
i still doubt it has anything to do with gpu settings.

I dont think so since im running low haste on ny remix character which almost similar to my retail character unholy dk

This sounds like SpellQueueWindow.

From Wowpedia:

Enables lag tolerance and controls how much of a lag tolerance is given when you wish to queue abilities up.

The default value is 400.

The rule of thumb is somewhat like 100 + your delay.

Mine is set to 120.

This is a cvar and cant be accessed through the options menu.

Either get the AdvancedInterfaceOptions addon or use this command:

/console SpellQueueWindow 120

Disable “Optimize Network for Speed” from options found under system - network and see if there is any difference. You can also install addon named advanced interface options and test different values from combat settings for Lag Tolerance to see if it has any difference, it controls the built in lag for the ability queueing system.
