Insane in the membrane Rep Grind

I did the bloodsail questline and grinded booty bay until I became honored. I started grinding the pirates in Tanaris, and I’ve now reached neutral with Gadgetzan. I am still hated with the other goblin reps. I figured now that I had reached neutral with Gadgetzan, I would be able to start questing there for an easier time gaining rep, however I’m not getting any reputation from the quests at all. On wowhead, it said that a quest that I did should’ve granted me 250 rep with the Steamwheedle Cartel. Is there a rep requirement for gaining rep from quests? Are quests just not an option and I’ll have to continue killing pirates until exalted?

What quest did you complete specifically? Did you get any rep at all? Even though this is unlikely, you could’ve gained rep by doing the quest but there could have been no notification in the chat saying that you did.

Anyways, I’m not exactly sure how the rep with steamwheedle cartel works. I know that most rep comes from killing pirates, and I also do know for a fact that certain quests stop giving you rep once you reach a certain point in reputation. However, I can’t help you more than that unless you give some more details.

I completed the quests Seaside Salvage, Puddle Stomping, Some Thunderdrome quests, and Clamlette Surpise. I did not recieve any reputation from any of them. I had the rep bar shown above my exp bar, and it was only on neutral, so I would’ve easily seen if I had gotten any rep. I know at least one of these quests claims to give rep on Wowhead.

Edit: I am stuck at 20,999k Rep revered with Gadgetzan now.

Also wanted to add few more things,

After you hit revered and have done both the dungeons and normal quests, its all about pirate mobs killing.

Thank you for your help! I was worried I couldn’t continue at all since booty bay seems to be stuck in a phase where it’s under attack. (I can’t get it out of that, since I can’t find the quest that phases it out…)
