Hello all, im doing Insane in the membrane achievment, i reached honored with bloodsail and i got the avast title. Now im building rep with the cartel and the bloodsail are hated again. The question is i must have the correct rep at same time or i can reach honored with bloodsail, and then go for exalted with the cartel losing all rep with the bloodsail? ty for your time.
Been a long time since i attempted this. If I recall you will end up being hated by one faction and then need to work your way back up again. Best thing to do is go look up some old youtube or wowhead guides.

I saw a youtube video that teach how to deliver materials to certain npcs in to have rep to cartel i now im hated with bloodsails.
Pretty sure it doesnt matter what the bloodsail rep is at the end as you just need to reach honored once & ignore them entirely after that
there are quests that give good amount of rep to cartel but puts bloodsail has hated.
According to folks at wowhead you’re fine.

This the way it is done today.
Back in 2010 though it used to be much more annoying because you had to be exalted with both the cartel and honored with bloodsail AT THE SAME TIME.
The only way was to kill some NPC pirates in Tanaris and in Winterspring (if I recall correctly). Its the way I did it.
Fun fact: You technically COULD reach exalted with bloodsail. But you needed to kill 1 goblin in the blasted lands that gave 5 rep (or 1 rep, dont remember) and spawned every 5 min or something ridiculous like that.
If I am not mistaken, only 1 or 2 people in the history of wow had the patience to stand in the Blasted Lands for 24/7 for 2 years killing this 1 goblin…

Ty that helped a lot, now you know 3 people that grinded that mob every 5 minutes, thats the way i did it for rep up bloodsail, but i think was less than 5min, dont remember.
You reached exalted with bloodsail bocaners? If you did, dont you dare loose it.
Do it old-school. Go to Tanaris to get your cartel rep back and have both at exalted at the same time. THAT is insane.
I believe that you only need to reach Honored once but I did read some comments about this not working for some players.
I’ve started this grind myself but never finished it. I have all the req except Ravenholdt (I’m at 3000/21000 Revered). The thought of pickpocketing all those lockboxes has put me off going further.
You can can have both Bloodsail and Cartel rep (bit late now) the pirates in Tanaris don’t take off Bloodsail rep so you can get to Honored (I never made it to Exalted as the rep stopped when I got to 11999/12000 honored. Couldn’t be bothered figuring out how to get the rest. Then I went and farmed Tanaris pirates until Exalted with Cartel (so now I can’t go do more Bloodsail without losing that).
I did this last year on wrath classic. I do not believe it matters if you lost the pirate rep but I didn’t want to just incase, so I headed down to ratchet and jus ran around 1 tapping all the mobs and when I hit 11999 honored I went to tanaris then finished with knot. Not sure if it’s different in retail now as haven’t played for years but getting that goblin rep back to revered took 10 hours and really wasn’t that bad
I did the original Insane (before the nerf) and can confirm that you do not need to be at the reps with each faction at the same time. You just need to have reached the requirement for each one.
In fact it’s not possible to be exalted with Cartel and Bloodsail at the same time, or the syndicate and rogue rep at the same time as gaining one, always reduces the other.
Exalted Cartel and Honored Bloodsail it is possible. In fact, in the original Insane, it was possible to reach 11999/12000 Honored with Bloodsail and Exalted with the Cartel. That is the reputation my main have with both when I did it back in Cataclysm.
Today it is possible to have both at Exalted but I have never completed it due to requiring me to first lose Cartel because the only way to have both at the same time is during Bloodsail first and then the Cartel.
It is true that the Syndicate and the rogue rep it is not possible but the Syndicate it is not possible no matter what. Even if you forget about the rogues and farm with the Syndicate the max reputation possible is Neutral.
