So, there was a similar thread on this already, just got closed 12 hours ago. On the other hand I’ve been unable to play for a week, so couldn’t comment.
My current main is a scribe and always has been. I’m not in this to make gold. I’m not good enough or sharp enough to play those games. But I do like to progress through the system and gradually unlock everything. This just doesn’t seem possible at present. Once you get to 65, there is basically no way to level higher.
I’m on a low-pop server (EU-Lightbringer). There is zero demand from the public or guildees for any of my goods. The 376+ weapons I can make are already superseded by the weapons people are picking up from questing, rares, normal raids and M+, so there are no crafting orders. There is zero-minimal demand for 346 profession equipment (giving one guaranteed skill-up) and in any case the mats cost circa 15k on my server. Yellow skill-ups making dragon cosmetics cost 23k each. People do want the draconic treatises but these are locked behind archiving (and anyway don’t give a skill-up). To unlock archiving I need level 100. Actually nearly all the recipes I don’t have are locked behind archiving. This is basically unobtainable. I chose to specialise rune-binding & rune-mastery as these are the routes I imagined most useful to me and my guild. Perhaps others are locked out of a different specialisation.
Blizzard please fix this asap. The instant fix is to unlock the third specialization at 65, not 100.
