Inscription impossible to progress

Hi, I misclicked … it happens and have hit the rune mastery specialisation along with archiving.
There is a horrendous dead spot with the skilling up so it seems its impossible to progress.
The only item giving points is darkmoon bundle of cards on green. I can get plenty of knowledge points but my skill level hasn`t moved from 65 so I cant get to the level100 to unlock the next tree.
Is my only current option to reroll this into a miner?
Thanks in advance

Hey,

UP to this post.
Im in the same situation.
Nothing can upgrade beside darkmoon card.

I’m afraid that if people dont want to upgrade card for X reasons, we wont be able to upgrade our profession.

Im thinking about blotting sand which say ( 15% luck to progress, but he doesnt work with ink for example or im extremely unlucky)

Any help or advice or blizzard announce for inscription?

Runebinding 3 Staves can upgrade I hit 75 u need to do crafting orders and make stuff for others. This isnt like Shadowland designed to be 0-100 in a few hours you do this over a few weeks dont instantly go full panic

To unlock Runebinding after Rune Mastery and Archiving need to reach level 100… so it is out of options with the tools section too.

The Darkmoon and Sigil sections is insanely bloated. 230 knowledge points connected to the dark moon trinkets while no-one crafts these trinkets because it requires tons of rare materials and only gives random useless cards. Probably multiple weeks farming needed just to make one deck. Even it can be upgraded absolutely not worth spending any point to the dark moon and sigil sections and if you unlocked the Archiving secondly, you are stuck at 65. Making contracts, missives, treatises does not give any point after 65. The whole system is broken… probably better to drop the whole Inscription.

I’m also stuck in the same way. Thanks to the Consortium reputation, tho, I unlocked the blue profession items for Alchemy and Cooking, but no one is asking for it so it doesnt matter much. I have a lot of playtime, and fulfill a “lot” of public orders -treatise only, in fact- (we talking 2 orders a day lol, so 200g won, yoohoo. Which I guess is something for a low pop and casual server as Aery Peak).

I invested quite a lot in Darkmoon Deck Boxes. Literally never saw any demand for it. Worst part is that even if someone was asking for it, to be able to craft one would ask me to specialize in that specific Deck Boxe (to craft fire you need to invest in fire, to craft frost you need to invest in frost…).

It was just a horrible mistake made by me to think it would be relevant. So I guess the only way to level up to 100, now, is Darkmoon Faire, which is quite ironic, or to wait for the patch when, I imagine, Blizzard will add some kind of weekly skill points reward as catchup mechanic.

tl;dr : Inscription sucks. Per usual since BFA.

I probably drop the Inscription because I “permanently” stuck.
No-one need those recipes that I can do and could give me skill point.

Zero inscription crafting orders in my realm in this week, the previous week and the week before it. I do my weekly quest with my own alt.

Nobody need and want any dragon riding cosmetic thing.

Nobody wants Darkmoon trinkets and 230 knowledge point is just about dark moon crads.

The Bundle O Cards require impossible amount of Awakened elementals while there is only a very slight chance that it give a skill point. With the current AH price crafting one Bundle of cards I need 10000 gold and give me 2 crap cards that I can sell probably for 100 gold and there is a big chance that it won’t upgrade my skill.

The Main problem is the Blizzard make the specializations final but they did not care about that many profession/specialization combo is not just not working, can’t craft anything that anyone needs, even you don’t need it, far away from profitable but it is a dead end. You can’t change not just specialisation but even you “can’t” change profession freely because many object that improve your knowledge is not available anymore. For example I started as Herba/Miner, but because it was deadly boring I replaced the mining to inscription. If I would switch back to mining I would lost 30-50 knowledge point permanently because those of outdoor objects are not available anymore or the one-time knowledge books that the consortium sell.

The devs should revamp the whole Inscription profession or allow us to reset the specialisation couple of times in a year. They should give us at least a one time reset, because they made it final and they made the profession useless.
