Instance cap in TBC?

Does anyone know if the 30 instance lock/daily will continue in TBC?

They are discussing increasing the limit internally.

Haters gonna hate but I’d rather see every dungeon be locked to one per day.

Gets more people questing out in the world, combats boosting/botting and allows the economy to flow steadily throughout the expansion.

Of course this will make pre bis gearing an absolute pain in the bum however so I know it will never be a thing

Why should i be forced to quest? I hate questing i level with dungeons only.

I did that in retail from the instant LFG became a thing too so I’m actually in agreement with you don’t worry lol.

As someone who started back at the end of vanilla when boosting wasn’t a thing really and the world was full and alive with battle and adventure… really think wow is missing something that made it great.

WoW has had to change with the tide and cater for every players “style” and I get that don’t worry

Dungeons are smaller with a route at end leading back to entrance, it has to be increased, no real option.

I think they should leave it, doing more than 30 dungeons per day is crazy anyway.

Well, heroic mode dungeons are locked exactly in that way.
And given that non-hc dungeons gear will be farmed pretty damn quickly anyway (people want their rep after all), its pretty much already as you describe.

Personally, I stand no chance of doing 30 dungeons per day, even though I plan to level in dungeons. Still the limit should obviously be removed, on principle, as well as for those wo take a few days/week off work to speedlevel to 70.

People actually doing 30+ dungeon runs a day need to take a look at their priorities in life.

Well, I am planning on taking 2-3 weeks from my holidays (got 50something days currently due to the pandemic making travel impossible ) when TBC launches.

Is that nolifing? Sure.
Is it for something I enjoy? Yes.
Am I hurting someone by doing so? No.

So I really don’t see the problem.

Oh, it’s all good, brother.
I’ll be quitting my job myself (not in relation to TBC relaunching lol), so I’ll do much of the same as you and others will do.

I just seriously can’t imagine doing 30+dungeon runs, though! I love doing dungeons, but I can do like 5-10 at most before I suffer from a dungeon burnout. :joy:

But if you spend 32min in a dungeon you can play dungeons for 16h without even a toilet break if you want. I mean nolifing is one thing, but how about sleep, eating and toilet?

I’m gonna dungeongrind with a bunch of people who are decked out in Naxxramas and AQ40 BiS gear, probably in a Spellcleave-comp. I highly doubt that we need 32 minutes to clear the likes of Blood Furnace or Slave Pens.

How long time do you think it will take?

Honestly, I have no idea. Until we get accurate info from the beta telling us what kind of xp to expect from complete runs, your guess is as good as mine

I can tell you this much:
I expect it to be actually slower than ideal quest-grinding.
However, I don’t believe that matters. Lvling speed is not important, attunements and rep are.

big brain dude…launch of new expansion, overload with logins, people everywhere, cant tag a mob, pvp…but yeah lets put everyone outside…kek…also questing sucks
