Instance Cap on Prepatch - Official words?

Currently on live the cap is 30 instances.

On beta/ptr it felt infinite, I got to 75 lockouts before I stopped testing.

Draenei/Blood elf rerollers would appreciate this info to start planning their prepatch; and also everyone that plans to dungeon level when outlands are open (most people?).

it’s such a vital piece of information, idk why it ain’t a more popular topic

I thought it was well known that they remove instance cap in tbc?

it’s not set in stone, afaik there has been no official stance on it.

correct me if i’m wrong!

Because there’s a handful of people here on the forums who made it their mission to moan as much as possible about the boost and mount, making thread after thread.

There was a post about how much you look forward to tbc and what you love the most about the expansion. Only got a few replies.
Meanwhile timmy antibooster’s thread about kicking people with the mount is on 200+ replies.

Anyway I agree instance cap should be removed in prepatch and it seems to be the case, but would love some official communication.

Please clarify this, looking for this information everywhere…

you have none on the beta
you have none on the ptr
what else is there to clarify? you will get those settings

edit: aside from the 5/hour … before a smartsy pants trolls about that

They couldve made it like that literally for testing reasons which are the basis of the existence of beta/ptr

Was the 30 instance cap on the ptr before the prepatch? Having the cap on a test server where RMT isn’t an issue doesn’t make much sense, regardless of what your stance on the instance cap is.

Would love to hear as well what it is! Currently unsure whether we have 30 lockouts for the first day of prepatch or more for leveling up paladins and shamans.

welp it is time to eat some hats
bliz just updated this

the 30 cap is there to stay for tbc

WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic

In WoW Classic you can enter up to five individual instanced zones per hour, and a maximum of 30 instanced zones per day. The limit is per character. 40-player raid instances are not affected by the 30-per-day limit on entering dungeons.

Seems pretty set to me.

In general ye, but wouldn’t they lift that at the start? That sounds logical to me to be honest.

Have you ever known Blizzard to be… logical though?

I mean, they could have cranked down hard on people buying and selling gold, instead they choose to punish the entire WoW Classic community.

They said in one of their blogs that there would be no change to the instance caps that are currently in place.

Blizzard please clarify this… many people are planning to dungeon cleave to 70 as outland will be un playable to quest

It has been clarified on battle.net support article. It doesn’t get more official than that.

The 30 instance cap is here to stay.

I hope they change this to something more reasonable for the release days at least.
