Instance Cap - Per Character or Per Server

Blizz just confirmed there will be 30 instance cap for TBC, however in the update they state that it is 30 Per Character like Classic.

Except that’s not like Classic right now, in that Classic is 30 instance cap per server, which means that if you run 30 instances on 1 character, you can’t enter any on any character on that server for 24 hours. The new wording for this post states per character for both Classic and TBCC. Does this mean the system is changing with Classic also? Or did Blizzard just forget how their own system works?

You have answered your own question.

“Is this changing or did Blizzard mistype?”

Unsure how I answered this question already. The post says Per Character, except Blizzard’s own messaging around TBCC for practically everything has been a mess, littered with numerous mistakes. (Just look at the literal TBCC Launch announcement image, which had the wrong day on it.)

That’s how you did it.

WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic
In WoW Classic you can enter up to five individual instanced zones per hour, and a maximum of 30 instanced zones per day. The limit is per character. 40-player raid instances are not affected by the 30-per-day limit on entering dungeons.

Again - Blizzard’s record this past month has proved they suck at being accurate on these things. Considering they got something like that announcement image wrong, it doesn’t seem out of the question that their wording here is just vague and not accurate to the reality.
