Is there any way to get these back? In a regular party you can see the chat bubbles just fine but in a instance group you can’t (i.e. chat bubbles above your character when you speak).

Two things.

It was never possible by default, the chat bubble feature doesn’t support the raid and instance channels but back then before the instance channel was introduced it was possible because the same channel used for the party was used by instance.

With patch 7.2 Blizzard introduced some restrictions that prevents addons from adding this sort of capability to the game.
It’s under settings, social tab iirc.
You can set to where you wish to see chat bubbles. I’ll try find the exact location when I get online.
Interface >> Display >> Chat Bubbles, that’s not what he’s asking.
The only options are All, None and Excluding Party Chat but because the feature doesn’t support raid and instance channels it wouldn’t work.
Would have thought “All” means instance chat too… Guess not.
Might need an addon then if it exist.
I already addressed addons in my second paragraph, addons can’t do that.

rip…I understand you don’t want to see 20 bubbles in a raid but dungeon groups are just annoying when you can’t see :S
