Instanced Content Updates in MoP Classic

So to preface this
a) I’m happy LFR is being removed. As far as I remember LFR was at least partially introduced so that everyone had a chance to see the inside of a raid and the lore surrounding it and that just isn’t necessary in Classic.

b) I really dislike Mythic+. Constantly running the same dungeons is so damn boring and having to do it before every new raid is ridiculous.

That said, two weeks after MSV opens is too soon and Protocol dungeons are starting to feel like Mythic+.

Your average Heroic clearing guild won’t be done with MSV in two weeks and the guilds that are won’t be fully geared so everyone will be forced back into dungeon farming to finish MSV and prepare for ToES and HoF. The increased item level will also quickly diminish the difficulty of the raids, faster than it would have happened with LFR being done once a week.

If Protocol dungeons are meant to help with gear catch up shouldn’t they open after the current raid tier (MSV, ToES and HoF in this case) is largely done and the next raid tier is releasing fairy soon? e.g. Inferno Protocol releasing a few weeks before Firelands.

The whole point with LFR is also that you can do the whole raid in parts. If you have time for 1 wing, you que for 1 wing and then go off again and do the others later in the week. If you need to find a pug for normal (which isn’t guarenteed you get in a group) its harder to see/do all the bosses if you have limited time. Esp with hte 12 and 14 boss raids at the end of MoP. And doing the smae dungeons over and over is not content.

The people with the argument that gearing is better/easier in dungeons don’t understand that not everyone plays wow for gear. I play it to have fun when i have the time. I am a solo player that just once to do some LFR with 2 friends when we all 3 are online. Its the content that makes the fun, not the gear.

you hit the nail on the head but blizz doesnt give a damn about their casual player base. They forget that the game is more then 20 years old and people dont have the same time to game then they had before. Its unbelievable that after 20 years of making world of warcraft blizzard is not getting better at it but getting worse. Damn if i had a job but i kept getting worse at it i would be fired, but i gues so long as you called blizz your fine.

This is a huge mistake. Please reconsider it. LFR is the sole reason I was excited for MoP. I dont have time to schedule raids. We, all the people who put up with this changes and still care for and play this game, have jobs, kids, and irl responsabilities. It’s so dumb man. I go and play retail, everything dies in one shot, it’s so dumbed down and easy, I get bored just thinking acout it, also incomming 1 button rotation like the game was not easy enough. I want to play classic, where I can do a full rotation without wiping half the map, and do a chill Raid, and they remove LFR. It’s so frustrating!

You did read the part about being able to get LFR-loot and cape progress from dungeons, right?

That’s the problem right there. its not all about gear, its about content, A large number of the player base will no longer see the raids…

I agree, but being able to get the LFR gear and the cloak does invalidate the concerns of the guy I replied to first. He will be able to get gear to get in to normal and he will be able to get the cloak

The amount of casual crybabies in this thread. Just go play retail

Blizzard want casual people who want to experience the raids to buy WoW tokens and join GDKPs.

Really bad Blizzard.
LFR is perfect for thoose who like it and like the casual side of it. Thoose who is not really into raiding but want to try it and maybe become better. A sort of training before match. You have listened too much on the elitists.

  • Legendary quest progress, with quest additions made to preserve the lore, should players choose to use Celestial Dungeons rather than Raids to progress the legendary quest chain.

Preserving lore my ***. The chapters of 5.0, 5,2 and 5.4 ended with a quest recquired to kill/loot the current raid endboss (Sha of Fear, Lei-Shen and Garrosh)

How can you say you preseve something, when you take away the means to preserve it?

Yep. It’s strange watching people think if Blizzard implements LFR, Pandaria will just become a desolate wasteland where no one will talk to each other, do dungeons or raids, just everyone turns into mindless zombies constantly in LFR lol :'D In reality it’s a good stepping stone for building confidence for a lot of nervous players, many of which will simply choose not to raid at all anymore

To get most questlines with better rewards, you still need to kill end boss in raids, so not a valid point

this is a W

Yes. But the issue persists. And i was voicing my opinion on this decision. Classic is fun, no matter the version, as well as the modern game. But they clearly didin’t listen to all sides as they claim, seeing the outrage of this topic.

If you wanna just afk and get loot go play Retail LFR and be a plague there. I know it’s making you lot angry that you can’t just Q up and get loot for free anymore. This is a blizzard W and crying on the forums won’t change anything.
