I know the following suggestions won’t be new but just another attempt to get Blizzard to do something about it.
The following suggestions are quite obvious and probably not as time/resource intensive to implement while still improving the game mode of Blitz noticeably. Working on stuff like matchmaking and mmr systems etc. would probably require way more time and resources so I’ll omit that subject.
- Split stacking classes across both teams. Whenever there are at least two of one class while the other team doesn’t have any, mainly when its the same type (dps/heal). When there are two presevokers and the other team has none, swap one of the healers. More importantly for dps however. If a team has two rogues and the other none, trade. If there are three of one class (in the dps bracket for instance) and the other team has none, trade at least one to the other team and try to take mmr into account. If one team has two rogues and the other has one rogue, nothing should happen. Obviously, if one team has three of one class and the has one, make a trade so its two two between both teams. Overall its annoying when there are sometimes 3-4 of one class in one team while the other has none. Having some classes more than twice can be decent or bad depending on the class/spec.
- Disable duo qing as two healers (which would also make the point above easier to implement). Duo q dps+heal is okay imo.
- Never give +0 points on a win (regardless of anyone justifying the workings of a flawed and not well thought out mmr system). That should never happen, give at least 5-10 points. Based on human psychology alone it is a bad idea to not be rewarded for a victory. Its disrespecting the players time (its a game after all) and discourages players to play more (they might as well q up for a random bg). No one can deliberately choose to be on the team with higher mmr while playing against teams with way lower mmr and therefore not get rewarded for a win. People also say, that they get no points for winning after a losing streak, which is extremely demoralizing. Nobody cares to prove “the system” that you now deserve to climb out of where the system initially thought you belong into, where in order to do that you have to win a few games after a losing streak while gaining +0 on them.
- First time disconnects (maybe once a month) shouldn’t give one -200 cr. Teammates in that case could maybe also get a loss prohibited (or whatever its called in league of legends) or something like an 80% reduction in cr loss
- The following is most likely more time and resource intensive, however I want to mention it regardless, similar to league of legends, there should be a differentiation mechanic when it comes to dcs. No, I don’t mean on the player side, its currently impossible to tell on the player side whether or not the person disconnected themselves or not. However, Blizzard can identify or should be able to identify when a dc has been caused on their end. Around two weeks ago a lot of people dcd at the same time because Blizzard had server issues, resulting in everyone losing 200 cr. Just as in league, the game should simply prevent the loss for all players when something like that happens.
