Instead of AOO requiring 25 kills, make it 250 honor instead

Im sure forum posts fall on deaf ears, especially how often people post about PvP when they’re frustrated, they might just get ignored at this point. But hey, lets try.
In theory, War Mode is a fantastic concept, but its so poorly implemented.

If you’re gonna give players a PvP environment, granting contested zones with Invasions, atleast make it stable.
Invasions are a massive lagfest and “Against Overwhelming Odds” does nothing but add fuel to the fire.

Faction X is just making raids and ganking areas where Faction Y is most vulnerable. Players don’t even have the ability react, and if they do, theres a 2sec delay on your abilities.
You just die from an overwhelming amount of random stuff that the game can’t even register in time.

At this point, the purpose of the quest is not to give the underdog the incentive to turn War Mode on, but instead frustrating and demoralizing the opposite faction into turning War Mode off.

Who honestly thinks annoying your playerbase is a good idea?

Instead of Against Overwhelming Odds requiring X amount of kills, require them to gain X amount of Honor instead.
Gives more incentive for individual encounters or small scale PvP.
And if they wanna cheese their way into completing the quest, its gonna take a whole lot more time as raids give very little Honor.

Less frustration, less lag, more competitive PvPing, win-win?

You cannot earn progress for the quest in a raid. What happens instead is that several 5-man sized groups are sharded together, creating an illusion of raid presence (That is not to say that there are no raids though, but then those people don’t do it for the quest).

eh seriously, does anyone give a crap now that it is just ilvl 385?
You get free ilvl 400 everywhere in the game.
they quest is only nice if you turned 120 in that week. 1 week later you probably don’t even need that item anymore

Interesting, this only convinces me more that the real problem is in shard balancing. Before BFA they were talking how shards will be much more balanced with war mode, but in the end, nothing changed at all.

I have an idea…

What if when there is a big faction imbalance a on shard, people on that shard couldn’t post their groups to LFG tool to bring even more players of that faction to that shard?

Sharding is definitely the real problem, during the invasion yesterday, went hunting for alliance because of the call to arms quest and couldn’t find any, the people in my group eventually left and found massive raids on their shards.

it’s more about most Hordes whining about the fact Alliance actually got something they didn’t because they’re overprivileged communists who probarbly spend most of their time with Antifa.
