Instead of dealing with real issues like realms and players feedback

We get posts like this

Flying mounts in no-flight zones - Community / WoW Community Council - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com)

about mounts …

I mean the blatant disregard for state of retail realms and faction balance and time gating we get inane posts about mounts of all things i mean why just why.

It’s likely decisions on the state of realms and faction balance are taken higher up the food chain and “ordinary” devs are looking for trouble if they start giving feedback there.

While I personally couldn’t give a hoot about the topic of mounts etc, I think we should welcome any honest feedback from dev’s, criticising them for where they choose to engage will just make them not engage at all.

I know what you mean but it really annoys me when you have a thread like that answered right away but a thread like this …

Dead servers MEGATHREAD - Ghostlands/Dragonblights plea to Blizzard - Community / General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums

Ignored for over 2 years+

And decent feed back about current systems ignored aswell.

If you look at CC forums they seem to fix mostly on TBCC problems or things like what i linked.

WoW is bleeding subs at an alarming rate and realms are dead sorry for whining just really annoys me.

Smaller issues like these are easier to reply to for a Blue poster. Than huger issues like retail realms and faction balance. None the less a priority though… But propably a bit bigger than what a blue poster can speak for all of Blizzard for until they have come with a solution.

When they do or if they do it would propably get its entire formal and proper forum thread of its own. An offical statement.

I guess you are right just i have had to re roll to a bigger realm and left 20+ chars on another that used to be full as i can not afford to paye for the moves.

They were told end of MoP the realm connections were not enough and did nothing they left servers to bleed to get extra cash they treat retail player base like trash in my view.

TBCC and Classic have both had FCM (free char moves) recently classic has had it twice yet nothing for retail and TBCC has been out less than a year.

Alliance make up or at least used to… half the player base on witch Blizzard built WoW upon.
Horde Bias or no. They aren’t -This- Biased they would leave this problem and just look the other way.

They might try a few new things… Propably see how the next expansion goes… But if this inbalance keeps happening and bleed players they would be idiots to ignore it. And they know that.

But there is allot to consider before making a move like this that would change the game entirely. How to do it, and how to do it right, And how to message it the best way possible as well. Even though to us affected it might seem like a no brainer xD that should have happend already.

2 Things i would do is make AH region wide so just 1 AH for all realms per sa (i know it can not happen as AH lagg would be insane) and for cross faction play like merc mode for PVE .

They even stopped the last lot of connections without a word it is just ripping the heart out of the retail player base.

I don’t think the ah can cope being all realms

I’d love to play with friends playing on Alliance chars personally. And considering our lore usually ends up with us the Champions of Azeroth and all that. Team up with other Champions to defeat our expansions next big bads… I think We should have been able to do that together.

Battle for Azeroth being the exception. Considering that was a full out world war on Azeroth.

Our internal affairs and strifes between the Alliance and the Horde could still exists. Just as they are now in BG’s and PvP. But we still always come together to defeat the new ultimate bad threatening to end our world anyway

Theres such a difference in communication between the classic and retail team and maybe it’s just me but it genuinely feels like the classic team cares more about the game or atleast the players.

Even if they don’t know how to fix this issue yet (and it definitely IS an issue) they could atleast say something about it… anything… Let people know they’re aware and working on something. Or just enable free transfers already, why does it require this long to think about?

But the radio silence is just… meh (on this and many other issues too tbh)

If I was a conspiracy theorist I’d almost believe they’re waiting to squeeze every drop out of paid realm transfers before finally doing something.

In the end… I just dont wanna see Ion pull a High elf on this one. And just go

‘‘Look… If you wanna do PvE and play our game… The Horde is there for you okey? If you wanna play the race or faction you like and thats Alliance. You do that’’

Yeh. I saw this posted the other day and thought… I don’t really care what mount comes up. It’s a mount and it gets me from A to B at a particular speed.

Although I wouldn’t mind a random ground mount button for when Inwant a ground mount in a fly zone.

But yes, fix the game first.

You need to hope someone on the council will start a topic about realm pops and see if it gets any traction.

Although it’s not as if it’s not been discussed at regular intervals on the forums.

I wished I could post in there and tell him/her to report it as a bug though, to be fair, pets & mounts are part of Muffinus’s remit, hence why he responded to it.

However in a thread there about TBC realms (https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/state-of-tbc-servers/1148178 ) - I noticed a Blizzard reply and I’m not sure what to take from it:

’ * “Merging” servers is actually something that WoW has almost never done, and the reason for this is simple; we don’t like the idea of someone losing their unique name on a realm, and this is doubly true for classic where your identity in the community is a major aspect of the game.

  • We’ve somewhat worked around this in modern versions of World of Warcraft with the concept of “connecting” realms. With this process, we do allow you to keep your name (and guild affiliations), it’s not seamless and is an intrusive change to the players’ chosen gameplay environment. When the connection is completed, players on the new connected realms will then have a realm name appended to the end of their nameplate such as “Aggrend-Grobbulus” or “Kaivax-Pagle”.’

Firstly I didn’t think they’d ever merged realms or have I missed something?
Also I may be reading too much into it, but it reads to me as though connections haven’t been stopped altogether but they’re not on their radar at the moment.

I mean I don’t blame them for staying silent, as long as the reply isn’t a list of upcoming connections, nothing they can say will be well accepted. Saying they’re looking into things just sounds disingenuous no matter if it’s true or not.

Don’t get me wrong I agree it’s something they have to deal with fast, but if you know you’re gonna get booed then the logical course of action is to say nothing at all.

You can’t really say you’re going to communicate better then fear communication because you may get boo’ed.

The solution is to actually take care of the issue, though I can imagine it’s quite hard with all that’s going on in Blizzard right now.

That being said I won’t blame anyone for quitting. If you feel like what you’re getting for your money isn’t satisfactory and you’ve had enough it makes sense if you want to just stop playing.
