I have a little macro for cooking dailies. No matter where I am, I can press that button on toolbar and it will cook ribs, offer them to sentinels, target crabs etc. But the fun ends when I have to use keyboard to interact with the said crab to pick it up. Clumsy. Of course I could click on the damn critter with a mouse but for… personal reasons that can be slightly hard sometimes. And that crab is bigger than my head anyway and asking a tauren for help is not an option.
A small gnomish invention (naturally) would help me a lot; a macro button in my toolbar that would include the “interact” command but so far I haven’t been able to find instructions on how to do it.
So. How do I do it?

Put these in chat separately and it will make you auto interact with nearest possible choice. It’s really good for afk fishing (cast-interact-cast-interact) because you can just listen for sound and not click the bobber. I also use it for those spicy mining nodes on a 85 degree angle cliff after the first couple failed attempts

Not quite what I’m looking for Shìftace (really? That’s you name?), I need a toolbar button that equals to pressing a keyboard shortcut button linked to “interact”.
Put the stuff Shìftace posted into a macro, put in your toolbar, done.
Did that. Didn’t work. Nothing happened.
Have you not bound the interact option in your keybindings to a button?

The one i posted requires 2 macro’s. 1 for each line. The upside is it works with everything, herb, mining, fishing, looting, you name it.
I have bound “interact with target” to a keyboard button, yes. That works perfectly well. But what I need is a toolbar button with that same function and that’s the trick I haven’t been able to do.
Also the “2 macros solution” doesn’t work, nothing happens.
Ooh I see. I don’t think there’s functionality for that, at least not from what I’ve found.
