With more and more people getting their levels/gear and layering being phased out (hah), I figured it’d be a great time to kickstart some more RP Horde-side.
With that in mind I’d like to gauge interest in turning Brill as a casual hub for Forsaken roleplayers, as it is on a pretty strategic location (being in the center of a starter zone, the zeppelin hub and Undercity itself) and possessing very complete facilities for RP (Inn, town hall and a scenic graveyard).
There are no plans as of yet for BIG events; for now, try and log in around the usual times (~18:00 to 20:00 server time) and snag that casual RP that I know you crave. I’ll do the same. The end goal for all this is to socialise and organise those aforementioned BIG events and small events.
Generally this isn’t a bad idea. It might be worth considering using Tarren Mill instead, primarily because, well, there’s already a guild centered around playing there:
While more RP hotspots are, of course, always great it might be better to initially focus on one spot, instead of spreading ourselves thin. Apart from the Guild “Tarren Mill” itself a bunch of other guilds are planning on playing in and around Hillsbrad, namely the Frostwolf Legion and the Survivors of Lordaeron (an Alliance guild).
That said, Brill has some things going for it for sure. Having a casual RP hub near the starter Zone might also help getting more fresh players interested in RP.
Yes, that is true. Tarren Mill and Hillsbrad will likely be the center of everyone’s favourite conflict RP in the near future (especially when the honor system comes along) and and excellent spot for casual RP.
But I maintain the opinion that Brill is far superior a place for the latter. It is better furnished, better located and more inviting to lowbies and experienced players alike. We might be stretching out numbers thinly here, if we were to create two hubs. But wouldn’t that create RP as well? Send messengers, scouts and supply runs between both hubs via the Silverpine road. In a pinch, if RP flourishes on one side than the other, we can always congregate thanks to flight paths.
It’s still early days for Tarren Mill, that’s all still being set up, I believe. In the meantime, another hub to focus on would be more than welcome. I particularly like the idea of interaction between the two hubs (though I’m not sure we have the numbers for that, yet).
While I personally never play during the “usual hours”, I’ll be sure to check in a few times around midnight.
While I wrestle with sleep and work and strive to keep up my own times online, I urge others to join in on the Horde’s LFRP chat channel in-game (/join LFRP). I tend to frequent it myself, so if I’m on you’ll know and can ask me anytime to RP (as will several others I’m sure), provided that I’m not rolling through a dungeon.
