I’d love to see more of the virtious side of Light based roleplay. Encouraging compassion and hope in trying times rather than DEUS VULT or the like. Which is fine but already has tons of representation in guilds.

Whatever the case, I’d love to see this take off! Make Cathedral Square about the Cathedral again rather than a recruiting round or similar.

In simple terms, no.

As much as this will be a somewhat progressive, I suppose, sect of the Light, Void Elves are still Void Elves! Which breaks my heart because I love Void Elves so much… Gaah! Why isn’t the Light more tolerant of you guys!!!

However, unlike a certain other guild, there would be no violence. I think the reaction of our guild should match with the reactions of NPCs:

“Oh! Hello there… fellow member of the Alliance. I mean no disrespect, but… I’m just not entirely sure the cathedral is the most… appropriate place for… for… For someone who indulges such… unique proclivities.” - Brother Sarno

While the NPCs are very suspicious of the Void Elves, with others suggesting they should leave, none of them take direct action and only criticise in quiet or vaguely to the player and not aloud. Such open distrust and hostility would attract the attention of the King. Anyway, I think the Cathedral would be FAR more tolerant now. The Void Elves have proven formidable allies, shown through the War Campaign, to snuff them off would be a little rude!

(On a completely unrelated note, High Elves using the Void Elf model would be able to join.)

But yeah, no Void Elves.

Oh, and I’ve decided on a name, Hand of the Virtuous.

This reflects the altruistic nature of the guild, rather than ‘Dawn’ which seems a little non-descriptive and ‘Order’ which makes it seem like an actual organisation. Furthermore, ‘Order’ is used waaaayyy too much and I wanted to be somewhat unique. I’ll get to writing a introduction post when I have more time (Summer, probably) but thank you so much for everyone’s kind words and support! I love AD so much…

If i also recall correctly, their condition had been caused to them mostly and does not signify continuous practition unless otherwise stated so if you do wish for a way to have them join this could be a lead

Oh, these are good ideas too! I forget that not all Void Elves actually practice. Still, it doesn’t really match with the Orthodox view of the Light I’d like to portray, no matter my weakness to purple ladies with tentacle hair.

This looks quite lovely indeed and fits the stance of my character towards the light quite well.

I’ll be looking forward to meet others in the cathedral once this thing kicks off, as it would actually give me a reason to go there for RP once in a while.

Would it not be ideal to make a community? I’m sure there are many characters who have affiliations elsewhere that would be eager to be a part of this.

Like my own character. I love where you’re going with this and would love to get my character involved during her off campaign time. c: Especially since she embodies this side of the light quite closely.

That said, I’ll be sure to attend sermons and events where I can regardless!
