I mean, Outland is a dying, floating rock in the Nether, what would you ever desire to take over there? And I doubt the Aldor, Scryers, Kurenai, Magāhar will not allow your schemes on their world. Weird place to have a PvP campaign on.
Implying any of these factions would care so long as Nagrand and Shattrath are left untouched.
Implying they could do much about it.
The Cenarions, Earthen Ring, etc sure are stopping war on Azeroth succesfully!!! : )

Well, just wait for the story to continue next patch. Brann just got MOTHER out of her spot in Uldir and has got some powerful ressources in store to save Azeroth.
I am glad the PvP campaign on Outland got cancelled, though. Good decision.
Man I know its bait but its stupid bait.

Whilst the Big Baron possesses many lovecraftian abilities I donāt think he can make the future suddenly happen/see the future. None of this is relevant.

A lot of people arenāt and many were looking forward to a Campaign like this on our side of the Pond. This is just a rude-dude post coming out of nowhere to be snarky to someone who was trying to create an initiative for the Argent Dawn community.
I am not trying to be rude here at all, I saw that many people were looking forward to the campaign. But I find it odd how many people did not question why a campaign like this would take place on Outland.
What would you ever desire to take from that world if you are not a warlock, etc.? Minerals? You can get those more easily on Azeroth. Getting to Outland with a lot of manpower costs a tremendous amount of ressources.
I am just criticising something I do not understand and the only reply I got was ābecause I wanted it soā, which makes it seem more snarky than my initial question.
Iām actually wondering why people donāt plan something in the Arathi Highlands or Darkshore, places that are confronted with the war every day.
Maybe because less people would be around there?
Maybe he just want to use it for scenery rather than them actually being in Outland IC?
And Morsteth simply wanted it so, the reason is kinda irrelevant.

This is a non-issue, Outland is a source of many resources native only to that Planet. People also generally donāt care about this kind of thing its silly.

What you lack the understanding of is that generally people just host Campaigns in under-utilized places so that they see some activity for awhile and draw people to RP there. People donāt want to do āresourceā RP where they have to deal with silly military things that are always negligible in WoW.
Iām actually wondering why people donāt plan something in the Arathi Highlands or Darkshore, places that are confronted with the war every day.
These places are Warfronts filled to the brim with OOCāers who could grief and cause large issues. They are also - as you say - very active whereas zones in Outland see very little RP.
Edit: Teach me how to quote properly, Tehya.

as you can see this is an interest check, not a full-fledged event post. You check to see if people give a hoot first, THEN you start writing things proper. Clearly, people didnāt give much of a hoot.
Also, yāall learn how to quote properly, this block-quote meme just looks silly and is way less useful than proper quotes.
I mean, that could be the case, I still would have wanted a reasonable explanation why, instead of being considered ārudeā after I say I am glad that the campaign would not take place on Outland. I just didnāt understand why, of all places, Horde and Alliance would be there all of a sudden.
I am glad it got cancelled not because it would have been a good community get-together, but because the place would have been of no value at all and would conflict with other factions very badly. Thatās the only thing I criticized.
Minerals found on Outland might be precious, but like I said, theoretically, getting troops over to the dying world through teleportation, etc. will cost a lot of ressources as well. You can get minerals more easily on Azeroth than on Outland, if we think about it reasonably.
And of course I understand this was an interest check. Doesnāt mean that you canāt get some criticism if you post it publicly, right?
But you canāt get Adamantite and Fel Ore on Azeroth.
No, but it means that your question is, at lack of a better word, stupid.
If our friendly neighbourhood Varok Honourfang can make it there without help, I assume militaries can manage it fairly easily.
You forget that the factions are currently in possession of a super-resource called Azerite which could easily provide that supposed energy you claim they need.
The most obvious answer to that is the fact that Dark portal must have reconnected with old Draenor after the AU Draenor X-pac was over.
Why would you want Fel Ore out of all the minerals you could get on Azerothā¦? Fel-corrupted ore that is potentially dangerous to to your troops? I donāt get it, seriously. What would you craft with that mineral?
No, but it means that your question is, at lack of a better word, stupid.
And thatās your opinion. I simply asked why it would be on Outland and I got no reasonable answer. End of story. I am only glad it got cancelled because it would have been there, not because the campaign would have been sh*tty.
Ok then donāt sign up.
Here is also a list of minerals/Resources one could gather from Outland.

As sad a state Outland is in, I am sure with some creativity there could be some fun campaigns done out there. But I would be skeptical about big military campaigns since both sides would want their armies on Azeroth (where the actual war is), no? Outlandās dying, its natural resources depleting if not already depleted. (The wheat in Safe Haven is hollow and malnourished as well for example).
Though, the idea of a resource rush for small veins/pockets of Adamantite in the Bladeās Edge Mountains could make for some fun short-lived quality RP.
Simple. TBC recipes give enough of an indication that they are not corrupting as you think.
In fact, thereās a whole shebang about it being actually used as a good source metal. Particularly for armaments.
