Are any Alliance rp’ers interested in the concept of zone defence?
I have a War Mode general WPvP community. But I’d love to establish the theme of the community as primarily zone defence. I don’t consider myself an rp’er, but the fact I am thinking in terms of a purpose to my community, defending zones, players, quests, resources… maybe I have an rp streak.
To achieve a community of zone defenders, I need to find dedicated players that would defend zones on a regular basis. Players that actually want to defend are hard to find. I was wondering, maybe rp players could get on board with the concept, treating it as a duty.
For example, the Redridge zone has intermitent Horde activity because of gankers and the Horde quests there. A group of defence players could sit at Lakeshire and/or Three Corners, waiting. Horde show up now and again, with periods of no activity. Seems like an rp’er might be more willing to sit and wait, than a non rp’er. The other nearby zones can be periodically checked for variety. Similar could be done in BfA zones, for example sit at main entrance to Arom’s stand. That sitting and waiting would be boring to many, but some might enjoy from an rp perspective, the waiting, defending, duty. Can move around for variety if group wants to, or ones that want to can scout around, but the main concept is defend a spot.
