Hi all!
I was hoping someone could help me. Since the update last Wednesday (that introduced the horrific visions content) I’ve been having an issue with intermittent, high world latency.
As an example of the issue, If I’m playing a mythic plus dungeon, during a run I will get 8-10 seconds of lag, where i can still move but everyone and thing stays in position, I cannot cast spells, the game does not freeze and i do not disconnect.
It automatically recovers, with my group members or enemy npcs suddenly moving very fast (less than a second) to “catch up”.
When I look at the game menu/options, it tells me my world latency has shot up to approx 800ms. my local latency remains fine.
Troubleshooting so far:
- I’ve removed and disabled all my addons as a precaution.
- I’ve remade the interface, wtf and cache folders as per the solution article (rename the current folders to “old”
- I’ve reinstalled the game.
- I’ve run continuous ping tests - my device drops zero packets during the issue in game.
- Experience no drops or lag in any other online games I play.
Would really appreciate some help - when this issue happens - it often leads to my death or a wipe of the group I’m in.
