Internet goes down when Battlenet is open

So I’ve been having a weird issue for a few days now.

My internet goes down after I start Battlenet or after I start WoW. And I don’t mean on my PC, it just cuts off the internet from the router, none of my devices can connect to the internet anymore via ethernet or wi-fi.

I tried both on ethernet and wi-fi to start Battlenet on a PC and a laptop, same issue, internet goes down in all my apartment.

Then it works again after 30s - 1 min and then it goes down again after about 1-5 minutes.

I tried with other online platforms like Steam or other online games and everything is fine.

This sounds very much like a bad configuration/firmware on the router. More specifically: an application on your PC cannot directly cut connectivity for other devices on the network - the only way this can happen is if the router itself drops these connections. If the device was provided by your ISP you may want to reach out to them to see if they can possibly push an update to the config/firmware remotely. :slight_smile:
