What interrupts/stuns etc work on bosses in mythic+?
Nothing. We have shadowfury which if you are not talented into has an unecessary long CD on it which only stuns mobs for 6 seconds. Our interrupt is tied to our Felhunter which hinders our DPS and has a 30 second cooldown.
6 seconds?? I wish! It’s 3 seconds. Having to talent to get it down to 45 seconds is boring, but it’s similar to capacitor totem.
Relevant to note, felhunter still does the same damage as imp, but with target swapping you lose the damage due to its movement. It’s not a substantial loss though, not enough to warrant a loss to an interrupt as that’s more important in dungeons.
Why are you talking nonsense? Lol… pet dps difference between imp/felhunter is very minimal, around 50-100 dps loss if you use felhunter to kick stuff… and that dps loss comes from target swapping, not damage tuning of the pet.
It’s because of nonsense like seeing warlocks play imp in keys that people hate our class and are reluctant to invite it for M+… when I play an alt and see a warlock who plays imp in keys I cringe so hard
Should note though, there are instances in dungeons where imp does come in useful for certain bosses, like ToP, NW, DOS where that dispel does help the healers, and it’s decent to get yourself out of trouble every now and again. However everyone should be running felhunter for dungeons.
Calm down Jack.
I use my Felhunter in M+ I’m just making a comment that our interrupt is tied to a pet.
Am i dreaming or are people defending Warlock losing DPS (be it significant or not) just so they can have an interrupt (which is something everyone have as baseline except Boomies have) is okay? lol
It’s probably a higher dps loss for any caster that has to use a gcd, maybe even stopping a cast, over a lock that can interrupt while casting.
Mage interrupt is not on GCD but sure they can’t use it while casting. Idk about Shaman. Still though I believe interrupt should be baseline for Warlock as a spec that lacks utility for M+ so we could bring out perhaps other pets. Some kind of aura buff to Imp would be good.
Yeah no gcd of course, my bad.
Sadly seems to be the way.
Blizzard tied the idea of us having utility in our pets, which seems really dated but I guess gives us reasons to have different pets? Of all the things they could’ve given us.
We have to talent into grimore to gain a non-pet based interrupt, but the talent is weak and doesn’t scale unlike other talents on the same row.
Ideally they need to make grimore into a talent similar to frost mage or marksman and make it a flat buff rather than additional damage.
Having an interrupt tied to a pet is something you just take for granted until you play something like a mage or priest and have to interrupt your own cast to interrupt the target. I’d rather it stayed the way it is.
Felhunter is awesome but there are places where the imp dispel comes to good use. So it is not a case of only use fel hunter.
For exemple that top boss with grasping hands. Forgot the name haha
