From what i have gathered playing arena on beta:
Intervene seems to be affected by range to you and your teammate, simply if Warrior is not in melee range with his teammate nothing happens and the melee hit is not soaked by intervene.
For example, scenario Warrior+Druid VS Rogue+Mage:
Warrior intervenes Druid and Rogue blinds that Druid 0.5 second after, the blind goes through, hits the Druid and the intervene buff is still present on the Druid, from what i’ve gathered it is due to the travel time it takes for you to get to him.
Another example with the same two teams:
Warrior intervenes Druid when a Rogue is just about to kidney shot the Druid, but the enemy Mage frost novas the Warrior mid intervene. The druid has the intervene buff while the Rogue is free to kidney shot and hemo the Druid.
So my question is, is this how intervene is supposed to interact with range in TBC. Does the Warrior who is using intervene need to stand next to his teammate when the next phyiscal damage ability hits or should the next physical hit get soaked by intervene, no matter the range in regards to the teammate?
If anyone could confirm this would be great.
