I get it, we’re not supposed to be able to leave the world at the snap of a finger when things get spicy, but what I don’t get is that why is there an Exit Now-button that allows us to leave the whole game (while our character still takes the 20 seconds to disappear from the world), but not one that would simply return us to the character selection screen, all the while doing the same thing as the Exit Now-button. You can Alt + F4 and relaunch, sure, but when I want to return to the game on one of my multiple toons, it’s inconvenient to have to restart the whole thing. For me, relaunching as a process takes 11 seconds, so I’ll be on another char quicker anyway than by waiting the whole 20 seconds it takes to log out outside of a city/inn.
Implementing this would enable us to swap between alts much faster, say for farming instances, sending mail, checking auctions etc. The whole 20-second waiting period feels artificial when I don’t care where I leave my character.
It’s a small improvement; not one that would compromise anything, but instead just take a few annoying seconds off the everyday shuffle.
good for you, but you realize that for alot of people it takes more than that? not everyone is playing wow on some strong gaming pc. If it only takes that long for you then good for you, you got a quicker option than just logging out normally. So i wouldnt count it as a common thing for everyone as a argument.
I always thought it was something they added for pvp servers so you kind of have to find certain safety instead of chickening out of a fight by instantly disappearing trough logging out
You realize I’m arguing for a shorter character swap-time for everyone? Why I included what I said was just to demonstrate that it can be quick anyway. I don’t see why you would get offended and act like I was bragging.
