Inventory space

Okay, ive, dalayed this discussion long enough… am i the only one having issues with my inventory space…? i have an insane number of things i keep in my inventory… to the point where i have always 2 bags, big ones, filled… how is this happening…?
like, the new fyrrak event by itself is 3/4 slots of keys to open the chests and spawn rares
the snail that cannot be destroyed in my inventory… the countless relics that can be exchanged for rep for every renown… the vault keys, the harpoon, hearstone, managem, horde battle standard for bg, flag battle standard for rep/honor, gnomish repair/ress, the mark of honors, the fishing coins, the maps to give for the treasure hunt, the Conch fo spawning fishing rares, the consumables for pvp/pve (food, flask, pot, etc etc) the shovels to get the disturbed dirt, the explosives to get the chests in the caves, the wingshredder to dismount people (yes, the one that never works and its always bugged for some reasons), a few quest items that im not sure i can delete (from new content) the varius (combine x to get y, that im surely gonna delete for extra space because cba), the egg of unknown contents that im still not sure how to finish because its like a puzzle, probably to get a pet that is going straight in thre AH for me, pvp bandages, engineering granades, food for actual hp regen, possibly healthstone if im playing with a lock in my team, the Medal of honor (okay, this one is BOA ill give you that) warbanner of Ire, and so on, i could go on for another 5-10 slots that are taken for stuff, plus 2 sets of gear for optimized experience, if not 3 sets of gear…

now, am i the only one having the most issues with inventory since any expansion?

My bags are perpetually full this expansion because it seems everything has a use.

Even random junk you would naturally want to vendor turns out to be required to buy rep items sometimes.

Ive really turned into a horder in dragonflight and should just clean out my bags.

I would love a second materials tab in the bank. It would also be easier if the new currencies weren’t actual items.

i have my own gbank, all full, and my bank is full, and my reagent bank is halfway there x)

The stones of the annulet really took a lot of slots too

my first advice is to get an addon for inventory management, I personally prefer adibags, that removes the view of different bags and just shows you how many free slots you have while auto sorting your items based on category.

The second is open a vendor and really really sift through your inventory.
There’s a lot of stuff you think you need to keep, but actually don’t need to keep at all.
Past expac quest stuff, tokens and currencies etc come to mind.

The third is visit your bank regularly to drop off your reagents, considering they go in their own bag slot it shouldn’t be a major reason your bags run full tho.

mine has built up over some time but here’s what I have in my inventory after a good old prune;

  • Dalaran & WoD hearthstone (you can save space by deleting your hearthstone if you have a toy hearthstone which shares its cooldown.)
  • Consumables (thermal anvil / language pots for RP cause I RP, poitins, flasks, food, treasure shovel, etc)
  • Non HS teleport items (argent crusade tabard, direbrew remote, etc)

can easily go over 100 slots free.
now for the forbidden reach, the ring without stats felt weird so I just didn’t do that.

I would also advice moving items you want to keep but don’t often actually use in the bank, for example; do you have a legendary in your inventory? cool, does it really need to be in your inventory? probably not, bank it.

The game has gone overboard (it’s been building since Legion, Mechagon Island being particularly bad) of filling our bags with Crafting Reagents, Fragments of Bag-Usage (combine 6 or 10 to make something actually useful), currencies (which should be in the Currency tab but for some reason but not all are), Eggs that need some future item to upgrade / hatch and a whole host of others gubbins.
And so many of these items are Soulbound so can’t be dumped into a Guild Bank or sent to Alts who might use them.

We need fewer Crafting Materials.
We need only a single rank for these materials.
We need fewer Currencies and those we do have should be in the tab.
We need fewer Soulbound items.
No more Keys that are made up of 6 fragments that you have to carry around for weeks in order to open a Chest which doesn’t have anything worth the hassle anyhow.

Inventory management is not Content, it’s not gameplay, it’s not fun.

They could cut down on mats by simply getting rid of the ranks. Or make them all stack regardless of what rank they are.

Yep, I have the same problem. Everything is full. Blizzard lost it with this expansion.

I’m sure you’re not the only one, inventory space is fine, so the issue is players hoarding.

Discipline, condition yourself to empty your bags before you log out.

I always log out near the closest mailbox to the auction house.

Im a hoarder myself. I save anything that is somewhat interesting and i have collected alot over the years.
Every lorebook i find is placed in my bank. A bottle of fire with a label Opening causes death i have in my bag.
Those tablets for the legendary cloak in pandaria if i remember correctly, i had leftovers and they are in my bank.
In older versions of stratholme there were a quest to find a necklace, no longer obtainable but i have that in my bag.
Any item with a historical yellow lore text i find interesting is collected. All legendaries i have obtained is in my bank. Even old bags that comes with some of the classes as starter bags i save.
And all the materials i collect and sell of before a new expansion arrives.
No matter how much more inventory space we get i manage to fill it up.
Old food or items i “might” have use for in the future that has collected dust from the past 10 years i have in my bags.

Yeah, i have a problem…

I’m gonna recommend not deleting it - put it in your bank (if you have space). That way you wont get a new one to delete every time you change your HS location.

Usually I have between 10 to 60 empty slots in my bags as I sell useless items constantly, that includes armors, weapons and trinkets.

I don’t what you guys are doing (or what I’m not doing), but I’m sitting at 106 free bag space.
Including some junk, extra gear, books, the Argent Tournament tabard, the Wrap of Unity, Zereth Mortis key fragments and even a couple of Vessels of Horrific Visions.
And I’m using 32 slot bags.

I’m finding it a nightmare too. I try to keep a few empty slots in my bags but they quickly get filled. My bank is full. My guild bank is full. We need to hang on to so many things that are used as currency in different places. If only we could have them all on our currency tab, I wouldn’t be worrying the whole time as to where the next drop will go.

My Mage, which I suppose is my main, is my most cluttered character, and she has 71 slots free in bags, excluding Reagent Bag, and 115 free in bank, excluding Reagent Bank.

I had a purge a week or two ago, bags->bank, bank->vendor, which freed up about 30 slots.

This expansion does have a lot of junk that I am not sure what it’s for, but then I go and look it up, and either complete it or get rid of it.

I have One Golden Rule:
I never, never, NEVER start out on any day without at least one bag clear. NEVER. If I am down that low on free space, I sort it before I leave the city. (I suppose you could make that 30 free slots if you are using a one-bag addon.)

I still have sentinax gems for that quest. Various items i need for others quests and achieve. Half of some body that i need other parts for from this xpac. Those treasure revealing gems from BFA since there is an achieve for that.

Tons of my bank is filled with crap from previous expacks that i need to have if i want to do those quests/achieves.

Now i got 5 slots for rep currencies from this spack to deal with along with all the less than 5 item flasks since you can only reclaim them in totals of 5. And since herbing is not so much fun anymore as a druid i keep those flasks and potions. Drake currencies.

I have older xpacks legendaries and the cape/necklace from BFA. Legion artifact weapons.
Stuff i need for mounts from SL patch 9.3 zereth. Those take up almost a whole bar. Those i shoved onto alt along with genisis motes. Ephemeral things. Panda gardening tools.

The list goes on.

They gave up more bag space but it still is not enough.

But we get two bags lots since dalaran HS and some other HS gets shoved into the toy bonk instead. Cool two lots. Which will be filled asap with stuff from this xpack.
