Invisible shield

When are we gonna get an invisible/hidden shield transmog?

I don’t understand how has this not been implemented yet in a 18 year old game, especially when it’s direct competetor (FF XIV) has had it for years.

It’s really easy to do, just keep the same animations regular shields have and make the model invisible.

And for those who think “bUT IT dOeSn’T mAKe SeNsE”, nothing does in this game, it’s fictional. If a Gnome can leap 30 metters and tank the Jailer while wearing just a bra, shield classes should be able to parry/smack with their forearms.

Would love this.

Why should he? His question is reasonable and actually a fair point.

We have Anduin, just using a Sword and no Shield at all as a lore character. Why should that be exclusive to NPCs?

I am sure a lot of tanks would love to hide their shield for the looks and own character identity.

I would much rather they fix all the clipping issues.

Force field, magic, technology, or just block and parry with your forearms, like Wonder Woman…
Sure if a warrior wants to carry around a huge ten ton shiled, by all means, let them
But alternatives would be nice

I’d mostly like it because there are barely any shields around that don’t look hideous. And there are few in general, so it’s always a pain to find anything remotely fitting with the rest of the transmog.

News flash - not all people that play FF14 are furries

Yeah, Shields are a bit of a problem. The ones I like most are the 7th Legion one and the Army of Light versions.

Op: The competition between MMORPG’s is nice but when they start to become similar, they also lose interest. That’s why there needs to be unique features that does not compete around same idea.

I almost thought you were Cvetelina  they have the same hairstyle exactly for that reason, as Raquel has the least clipping.

+1, except for hoodies on us elves. That one I do like.

Do I count towards furries if I don’t shave for a week?

That all depends on the seriousness of your body and its hair growing capabilities…

They are already similar, also where is the harm in adding more options?

It’s literally a small customization that does not change the identity of the game whatsoever and would be a great addition to the game, for fashion and for the roleplayers out there.

It also takes like 5 minutes to implement, stop overreacting.

Dunkiee looks at her perfectly shaved body for a moment before facing Damae again.

Looks like @Ãnna is correct, in that case! But in all honesty, tried FF14 and (for the moment) isn’t really my jam :frowning_with_open_mouth:
