Ion said Rogues will get a Raid buff - 1.5 year ago

The expansion is less than a month ahead.

You have nerfed the specs to the ground (i do not say they under perform but they will very soon when the other classes get the gear)

You removed the raid buff as it was “too strong”

In general same xxxx different expansion

And we thought you started listening to the community (oh wait ION said that again) …

Start playing the game you develop so you can figure out your mistakes…you have not done that since WotlK with a small exception in Legion. You develop WoW and you play FFX or some other MMO

Numbing and Athropic Poison are the Raid Buffs.

By the sheer amount of replies the Devs have given, they have definitely done better with communicating with the Community, often even reverting some changes they were testing, based on feedback.

Number tuning going into a new expansion is always in a flux, and it can’t be looked at in a vacuum, especially not, when they’ve done the most expansive Class/Spec redesign since Mists. Assuming Rogues won’t do well, when there is no actual proof, is overtly cynical.

While Rogues have not got as much attention as some Classes, they’ve still got more work done on them, than any time since WoD. There is still plenty to do, but to discount everything done so far, that’s not arguing in good faith.

Holding Blizz accountable for what they’ve said is important. Just as important is to give credit where credit’s due.

I was just tracking the changes to compare…we have the least changes of all classes once more…

is that BETTER than the NO CHANGES that there were till now? YES of course
Is that enough to give credit to the developers? NOT really at least NOT yet.

The talents trees seem messy with skills still in wrong places. EVEN WITH THE TALENT trees you are deceived if you say there is diversity. We keep having 2 dagger specs with equivalent AoE and slow rotation play style, and one combat weapon spec which is funnier and nicer to play but requires STILL the UNFIXED skills to perform like dice rolling etc. Also with outlaw using a max dmg spec you end up needing…6-7 GCDs (?) to start your rotation…which also most of them also require energy spending.

You wanna give credit for wrong developing which is being kept for years on this class and ION HAS ADMITTED IT? sure give. I will not.

The guys on developing team sure do what they can but their overall guidance and designers of the class are in the wrong path and obviously not even the statements or promises from ION can change that.

All issues start from the fact they wanna roll out the expansion fast and they dont have a big internal team for QC/QA that can play the game a few months. They just sim the classes instead of getting in the actual dungeons etc.

Good work for something you pay ? Not

Do you still believe that guy?
I am amazed how gullible some ppl are.

He just says whatever you want to hear, how do you think he obtained his position…

Yeah well thats not how you go forward a game and its obvious from the subscriptions. Without the pandemic which locked people in there would be much less. No idea if they are happy with the usual boom that is happening beginning of every expac or big patch just people to leave after 3 months play time.

We also get zero blue posts and in the end of the day im not sure anyone bothers to read our comments.

Clearly not, otherwise they wouldn’t announce a 1 year sub bait bundle before the release off a new xpack

Okay, so… do you have any actually productive ideas, any actionable feedback? Venting is fine, of course, but it’s not useful, because it’s directionless. Just saying “this sucks” is utterly unhelpful. If we want them to listen, we need to be clear about the message.

Allowing outlaw to use a dagger in mainhand would be a good start.
“Requires a melee weapon”, dagger is a melee weapon afaik :man_shrugging:

because i am EXACTLY NOT THAT KIND OF PERSON…meaning just mumbling and not giving a feedback and ideas of changes please refer to older posts of mine (yeah fairly older i agree) where you can see several things proposed from me and other people in the manners of a constructive talking. E.g. reduce the specs to 2 as they 3 have zero meaning; keep one Assassination adding elements of the sub spec in it, strong poisons, bleeds and shadow dmg mixed; strong dagger crit hits with reduced armor, slowing movement, reducing enemy dmg. you dont need fan of knives…and shuriken storm…its the same so with one spec you have one AoE. And one spec playing with combat weapons, fast , with cdr, less gcds, less random dependent like dice rolls. Outlaw playstyle is not bad at the moment if we exclude the dice rolls which is A MUST to have, if i might say. Raid buff could be a poison dmg reduction as it is now for assass (3% is actually nothing so i’d say 5% at least) and a cdr raid buff that would give you a debuff after and you would be able to benefit again for some time.
Several of us we have proposed excellent changes which were never seen by the devs.
Also a general remapping of how the classes are played…pure dmg classes should be top in dps. classes that have variation…today healer tomorrow tank next day dps, they cant excel in everything but they should be 2-3% down in dps. Mages imo also need 2 specs and not 3. they should be added the arcane in the fire or frost spec and they should be top (as they are atm) in dmg also. You cant have a ranged class like a hunter topping all dps as a melee survival spec. Why then rogues dont have a RANGED spec that we can top all the meters with it?
The evidence of the bad design is the favoring of a certain spec in every patch. You play one patch sub, you gather gear only for assas to be better in 3 months you gather gear to play outlaw in the end. Same with e.g. mages…one month fire the other frost and so on. An absolute mess. I wont go in the discussion of the secondary stats which the devs have confused them in their head so much that they have no clue what they are doing (hello…my name is mastery etc.)
Again we do NOT talk here how to overpower any class

wow…thank God they pvped 4 times. What about PvE?
They organize pvp because they simply cannot sim the characters there

That’s alot of unreadable text there, buddy.
