Irish inspirations?

Hey guys! After spending countless hours in Ardenweald now, I’ve began to wonder if the names of couple areas have any Irish influence. Specifically the two that begin with ‘Tirna’ because in Irish, “tír na” means “land of.”

So I started trying to find any other correlating words. The closest thing for Vaal that I can think of is “bhaile,” (pronounced like vawl-ya) and “tír na bhaile” would mean homeland. When I translate ‘scithe’ in Irish, he comes out as ‘rest.’ Land of rest? Or maybe now since it is destroyed, the land itself is in rest.

Intended or not, I think it’s pretty neat! Perhaps it’s a reflection upon the many fae folklore and myths of Ireland. Any other irish players catch this by any chance?

Not Irish specifically , probably a mix of all the Celtic folklore (irish, Welsh and Scottish)

I just said Irish as it’s what I’m most versed on! I believe “tir na” has the same meaning in Scots Gaelic, but I have nearly no knowledge on Welsh language and culture haha

Tír na nÓg, translates directly to “land of the young,” it’s not the afterlife but it’s a magical island where anyone who stays there doesn’t age
