Is anyone confused at their dps?

Hey, I’m using a target dummy to practice my burst and I can’t seem to get consistent results no matter what I’m doing.

My starts are: 29% haste, 19% crit, 48% mastery, 9% versatility

I have war mode on so I can use the big bolts as destro and this is what’s happening:

Burst 1: manage to launch around 9-10 chaos bolts resulting with an almost 500k chaos bolt.

Burst 2: get around 5 or 6 chaos bolts off with lacking results, maybe a max 280k chaos bolt

Why is this happening? I do the same thing each time after waiting for cooldowns but why can’t I get my burst to be atleast around the same number so I know what to expect?

Is anyone else having this problem?

You have a trinket that sometimes proc 2254 stats, maybe that?

You also have bursting flare on your head that increase your mastery and can do even more damage if you combine them.

Try it out how much difference it is when you immolate, cornflagrate, cornflagrate and chaos bolt rather than just sending your bolt away without procs.

When I use my gladiator trinket I notice a lot of difference even if it’s only 425.

there are so many proccs and stuff in the game atm it can be really hard to get any real idea how much damage you deal, and on top of that our mastery adds another level of RNG to the damage.
