Is anyone else having trouble getting the game to load

I’m having a different issue now. Game launches fine, but I end up on the server select screen and disconnect when I pick one.

Edit: rebooted my computer, got an update and it worked again.

Well i had the same issue. Now theres an update and new errors show up. The update wont start the update. Just keep trying and it will start updating eventuarly.

I’ve done the scan and repair, the other “delete battle.net” method, and now have this too.

This fix worked for me and a few friends having the issue.

1. Exit battle.net launcher and end all its tasks in Task Manager
2. Press Windows Key + R to open Run menu and enter
   “c:\programdata” then hit Enter to open that folder
3. In that folder find Battle.net folder and delete the whole thing. Don’t delete Battle.net_components though
4. Restart battle.net, it’ll restore the deleted folder and fix any corrupt files it might’ve had
5. Cataclysm Classic says Install now. Click “already installed” under the blue install button and navigate to your World of Warcraft main folder, add that.
6. Cataclysm Classic says Update. Update the client and your wow should launch again.

For me at least it worked but after “6. 1. Cataclysm Classic says Update. Update the client and your wow should launch again.” it got stuck for a few mins at ‘Initializing…’ and then another few mins downloading 610kb.

After that it works. So to sum it up, the post i quote here worked for me just give it a few mins.

It’s something Blizzard have done, because it affects a lot of people and it started for all of us a couple of days ago, and it’s only with WoW (other games in Battle.net seem to launch with no problem). Most likely some authentication or check went wild and it’s just there trying to do its thing until a 5min timeout runs out and then finally runs the game.

This has been happening to me the last 2 days. I have been using scan/repair to finally log in, but today this didnt work, it wouldnt start to scan, just sat there.

I now get an error which says
An internal error occurred. Please wait a few minutes and try again. If this error continues , try restarting Battle.net.

I have restarted BNet many times and still the same thing happens.

I deleted the battle.net folder you can find in the C:ProgramData folder and it worked for me. Although the update was stuck on the initializing phase for a few minutes.
