I convinced my girlfriend to try wow and get Dragonflight, so she’s boosted an Evoker and has been settling through the game since about 8am this morning. Now come this evening she’s like oh i want a mount, i said you should try the rare world boss mounts as they have had an increased drop rate.
Goes and kills Sha of anger - replies ‘oh i just got a claw’. I’m there smirking thinking now you know how it feels.
Goes and does Galleon - she messages me ‘I’ve got both of them Whey’. At first i call her bluff like next joke, but it turns out she didn’t realize she had the Onyx in her bag and just bagged galleons mount too. She’s played 12 hours… 1 attempt on each. Never have i ever.
Rng is rng. I still rememeber how shocked i was when i got ondasta mount back in mop on very first kill . Same in SL we have a runing joke in my guild about how i got leggo bow on very first sylvanas hc kill and better Hunter then me never got leggo bow all tier. It Has nothing to do with anything . Random things are random .
My theory is: the less you play the game, the more lucky you get.
Consider it a freebee to entice you in to investing more hours in to playing the game.
I noticed this Hunter is more lucky than my other BE Hunter I play as a main.
During BFA, this Hunter got several helmets from the TW chest that could be used in multiple specs. My other Hunter got shoes and more shoes. All with the same stats
For example your GF may have got good drops, but overall your account has more hours and more stuff done so it probably get less probabilities of getting good drops.
It is a thing. I firmly believe to it. Even on new characters or boosted characters i think its higher.
I do also have a funny story of my friend starting wow for the very first time in his life and ive gave him tour trough the raids with sone story telling etc. …he got legendary bow from sunwell…first raid, first try…
thats not a luck.
