Arthas walked away from his paladin roots took up frostmourne and became a Death Knight later the lich king.
Bolvar was forced to give up his paladin roots and became the lich king BUT he was imbued with the fire of the red dragon flight.
Now he has become the Lich King and looks to have merged with the helm and finally got his lich powers (full powers) do you think he is a sort of hybrid now? Having the abilities from the red dragon fire and the powers of the lich king and if he does have powers from both what do you think they will bring? Obviously a new generation of death Knights but what else I think maybe a new spec for Dk’s using that fire but there has to be more then just that.
I never said it did what I meant by my comment was arthas went from death knight to lich king which seems a natural progression undead lord to undead King same magic pool same origins nothing different.
Bolvar didn’t though he went from undead cleansed fire lord thing to lich king he has magics from a different pool within him unlike the other lich kings. And I was asking as he obviously is still affected by the red dragon fire will it make him different a hybrid of such. Using magic from the red dragons as well as the lich.
I don’t think Bolvar can necessarily wield the powers of the Red Dragonflight, it’s just what keeps him from dying of the plague.
Although it is interesting when you consider that, unlike Arthas, Bolvar isn’t actually undead so far as we know. Theoretically, the Light shouldn’t harm or affect him in the same way it did Arthas.
I think he’s in a state between life and dead, so yeah that’s kind of a hybrid
As to his power… I don’t really know. I assume he can do everything the Lich King could do but without Frostmourne. It would be pretty awesome if he got some extra abilities because of the dragons fire but I doubt he can use the Light anymore.
