Is DH bad?

Hi everyone.

I have a problem when I play my DH I cant seem to kill anything. Often my healer needs to step in for me and do dmg to secure a kill because otherwise I am not able. Is DH just bad and maybe I should reroll another class? Or is it a skill issue…

When it comes to rotation I press mostly chaos strike, blade dance and another ability I forgot the name on, but it generates fury. 3 buttons is not enough to kill someone for me maybe DH need more dmg or dmg buttons. Perhaps a good DH can show up and give good advice? Should I press more than 3 buttons or not :slight_smile:

I am also stuck at 1.2k as a DH should I feel embarrassed or not?

You need at least 4 buttons and everytime you bladedance strafe in the opposite direction as the animation does - should be win 100%. Only attack when fury is at max for the hidden extra damage.

I mean you could be an Evoker devast, and only need to press 1 button, no sorry, 2, glide, and beam spam.

Also, DH is good right now, but it has lacking single target damage compared to some other melees.

Optimal rotation + opener is

Immo aura > Fel Rush > Felblade > Fel Eruption > Eye beam > Chaos Strike > Essence Break > Blade Dance > Metamorphosis > Chaos Strike > Death Sweep > Eye Beam > Chaos strike > The Hunt > spam blade dance and chaos strikes

Outside of the opener, only use Essence Break if you are in Demon form (after eye beam or meta) and always do a chaos strike after eye beam

Since you’re playing 2v2, if you’re against a team with a priest, attack the DPS instead of the priest (DH sucks at killing healer priests)

For any other healer, you can sit healer

Vs Rdruids play Cleansed by Flame PvP talent and use Immo aura as a root dispeller

Press Blur on High HP when enemy dps is bursting you

Should be easy 1800 if you do the above for about 30 games in a row, this is the most basic it gets, for higher rating there’s other things so you can come back here if you need further advice

Dh troll posts are kinda boring now, they are no longer over represented

and classes like fury warri are even more easy to play than dh, and do also way more single target dmg

I actually get sad and depressed from reading this. No wonder PvP doesnt get new players when you behave like that. And then you scratch your head and say why its dead :slight_smile:

Asking for advice on this forum has become difficult because people either call you stupid or a troll. I actually had it in mind that this could happen before I made this thread but I still had the courage to do it.

I have had great luck because a R1 professional DH showed up in my thread and teached me how to play DH step by step. I followed his advice and lo and behold, I went from 1.2k to 1.8k in one day in 2s. That is a whopping 600 rating increase! Maybe if I continute to play this way I can get another 600 rating? :slight_smile:

I just want to thank you for helping out new players. I had no clue how to play my spec in Arena and after having been stuck at low rating I was close to giving up entirely. I followed your advice on the DPS rotation and just hit 1.8k. It is really working and there is no player that can outplay me at my CR right now!

The most I struggle against is locks, especially if they are paired with rsham. They have too much CC and I cant seem to do anything even if I sit on lock 24/7. And I feel I am defenseless against locks since the dots eat me alive. Do you have some good advice here?

And when it comes to pvp talents what should I play against specific classes?

Your post was so obv troll that you can’t make it up, since you played up to duelist for some seasons you clearly know how to learn classes in wow, where to check builds and how to press

And also your phrase like ‘i press 3 buttons, what’s wrong, can’t kill’ is a spit into dh playerbase, not asking for advice

Lock is easy

Just play Blood Moon, use ur purge on CD on any pets to get 20% dmg buff
If theres no pets, just purge the guy ur hitting
It will also heal u for a lot
And play Elysian Decree final talent instead of the bottom left talent in class talents that does a double eye beam thingy

You’ll just outheal the damage from rot this way

if there’s no warlock, but a shaman, play Cleansed by flame and use immo aura to dispel roots from urself, same for vs resto druid

before i forget, he is known as a troll in the forum (most of the times, if it has nothing to do with hunter) so no reason to blame other people when they call him a troll

it´s called Player Reputation, even if he meant it seriously (it is his fault and his problem due to the previous posts)
