Don’t mean to offend any Warrior players by my title It is a legitimate question I have so please let me know if my understanding of Warrior is wrong hehe
Back in BFA I wanted to choose between Death Knight and Warrior, so I asked what people thought about the two classes when it came to Battlegrounds and WPvP (1v1s).
Most of my replies were:
“For solo play, DK does everything better except mobility, and even for that DK has ranged slows and Death Grip. Warrior is only better when you have a healer backing you up like in arena.”
So from my understanding, the problem with Warrior is that it had high damage, but lacked “self sustainability” without a healer. I also know that Warrior has received a few changes such as Ignore Pain becoming baseline in Shadowlands, but is that really enough to favor Warrior in solo PvP scenarios?
Also, without getting too “meta” here, I have the impression that with DK, you can play both Frost and Unholy for any type of PvE or PvP content, without getting weird looks from other players. Where as with Warrior, it’s a bit more strict about you choosing Fury for PvE/solo PvP, and Arms for team PvP like Arena or Rated BGs.
So from your objective perspective (meaning not counting “fun factor” or “play what you enjoy”), what are the pros and cons for Warrior vs. DK?
In which situations are Warrior a better choice then DK?
I have no idea if DK just got nerfed or buffed And nothing I wrote even remotely indicates that I am mad about anything even related to that I’m literally favoring DK in my post, and I don’t see how that reply is even meant to address anything I wrote

Would love a legit argument for why you say Warrior is better Otherwise it is just a personal biased opinion hehe.
And no DK isn’t just a emo paladin hehe There are massive differences between the two, so maybe you don’t know enough about the plate classes to give an answer I am looking for. No offense
Just looked up a few videos and rankings to see the current PvP tier list after seeing your reply And it does seem most agree that both Frost and Unholy is about B tier (with Frost being slightly in the lead).
However taking the current buffs and nerfs aside, I would love to know which one would be considered better at a overall “class level”, since buffs come and go and doesn’t matter in the long run I’m not looking for a class to play until the next buffs and nerfs are rolled out
I’m aware that many play Arms in Arena PvP, but isn’t it ONLY if you have a backup healer that Arms is considered better?
They have very little self sustainability without healers from what I saw last time I checked. Without a healer nearby, as DK you just heal yourself until the Arms Warrior slowly die from lack of any self-heals?
I don’t want to rely on other players since I mostly do BGs and WPvP
Unholy is great in pve, especially raid, and strong in m+. Frost is just bad, and people will ask you to respec to uh and kick you if you dont.
In pvp both are weak, with frost a little bit better, as others said, look at leaderboards and class/spec representation in general, dk is in a bad state in pvp.
in eu ranking, if 0 Dks in top 40 both in 2vs2 and 3vs3 is what u call B-tier, go away roll it.
In US ranking there are… 1 Dk in top 100 both in 2vs2 and 3v3. Yes, one… in top 100… I don’t want to convince u i don’t care, i just wanted to warn before rolling it this is complete trash in current bursty pvp meta. It is fun gameplay though
