It’s better then a 10 month final raid
I know
We have only just started S3, so that puts us halfway through, minus the weeks that have passed since season start.
Shadowlands lasted just over two years and had four seasons. We expect DF to work the same way.
Sometimes the doomsaying can get a bit tedious.
A bit? usually free entertainment tho
so it’s okay when you attack me like this lol.
i’m not a doomsayer. there’s not gonna be a new raid for a whole year and they already released raid ready boost with max renowns, only have three minor patches and story is kinda done in only one year. i’m just pointing out these facts and asking if it’s the shortest one, are we really gonna say fated is equal to a normal season ?
well no new raids for at least 10 months tho xd ngl i’m kinda enjoying that dragonflight is shaping out to be the thing you guys hated after you defended so hard open world content being irrelevant is ok
It wasn’t aimed at you specifically. It’s a general comment about the forums. Having said that, you do seem to only ever have negative comments/topics about the game.
The boost is no different from any other expansion. It puts you in gear so that you can start gearing. The only difference is that they called it a ‘raid ready’, when it’s just 424 ilvl gear. I think the renown is a nice edition. So anyone starting this late into the game gets a decent catch up, or their alts do. If the boost put you in full LFR gear it would seem unfair.
My response was factual.
was exactly my comment from that post that you know.
it gives you renown boost tho if i remember correctly they didn’t sell a covenant boost on shop in SL ?
there’s nothing to catch up with the renowns tho since they don’t give power. also many people got their first 20 renowns with the boost as well .
it lets you queue for lfr tho so you don’t need to do anything to start raiding when you buy boost. i’m not saying it shouldn’t exist but it shows that the expansion and its content is done now so they’re letting people skip it. just like how they let people learn dragonriding from an npc with 10.1.7 (or something like that) instead of making them go through the story. if they skip all these it means the expansion is pretty much done. when i started playing SL as a returning player there were still so many things that i could & need to do i think it’s important for mmos.
Do you just resent that this late in the expansion someone gets to skip the renown grind? In your own words it gives you nothing so why does it matter if it’s included in the boost.
In SL it had a different system for getting covenant level skips, dependent on doing it on your main first, but power was tied into Renown levels. You also had to choose what covenant you wanted to join. There is nothing like that in DF. SL had some pretty awful systems, I’m kinda glad Blizzard learnt from that.
I really can’t get excited that someone gets a starter set at 424ilvl. The SL boost was raid ready too. They just didn’t use those words. The level 60 boost:-
CONTENT UNLOCK
Your character will be ready to play WoW content: quests, dungeons, and raids.
i’m just saying the same thing as you, the expansion is done so they’re selling the boost at maxed level and renowns. how is it doomsaying when i’m just pointing out the fact ?
their polised versions at the end of the expansions were so much fun . they went from having open world content to having filler stuff that can be bought as boosts too because of no relevant rewards. we played two different shadowlands that’s why i love it and you don’t.
I think that is one of the big critics of the last expansions. Legion last season was great when the leggo-vendor got in the game, BFA last season was great when the corruption-vendor was in the game, SL last 2 seasons were quite awesome since the mandatory grinds got removed and halfway s2 we were allowed to switch covenants.
That is like at least half of the last 3 expansions were terrible mandatory system-grinded designed And we were very reliefed it wasn’t in DF.
i totally get that i really do. but i’d prefer having a well polised great system over not having anything like in dragonflight which makes the game feel dull if you try to do something other than m+ or raids
Yeah, i did feel like a zone as Zereth Mortis was very fun for open world content that lasted longer. Right now it looks like i am only planting flowers in the ED.
I have not at any point said the expansion is done. I specifically pointed out that we are just past the halfway mark.
The boost isn’t for the current renown in the Emerald Dream and doesn’t even fully cover the previous renown with the Niffen. It’s just for the renowns that have been out since the start of the expansion.
- Renown System unlocked at Renown 20 with the four initial Dragonflight major factions, and Renown 12 with Loamm Niffen faction
If you enjoyed the SL systems then that’s great. I can’t say I felt the same and swapping constantly between covenants was irritating.
HUUUUUGE RELIEF
But not to max level and with SL you had a renown levels 60 skip leaving you 20 to go. And before you twist it like you always do it is the same thing as a boost is used for an alt not a main.
Her post was not aimed at you not everything is about you and if you feel attacked over that , then i have no idea what to say.
Gotta love the lvl 10 Dwarf coming out of nowhere to say exactly what you wanted someone to say so you didnt have to. Respect.
is that why we got 3 major patches in first half and no major patch in 2nd ? don’t you think it’s weird ? please for once put your hatred towards me aside and think objectively here. you say we’re halfway done but there are no big updates left, no new raids etc. isn’t this weird ?
i did but like i said at the end of the expansion after the irritating stuff was gone. i think it’s important an MMO having relevant stuff to do outside of raids and dungeons
People wanted more frequent content updates. They got them. Now some want to use that against them as if it’s a bad thing. They literally can not win.
The seasons have remained the same. Roughly six months at a time. Which means DF will last as long as SL, if not longer, depending on how long it takes to prepare the next expansion.
I still found SL systems irritating at the end. It’s much better in DF when I don’t have to tie my character into one of the factions to be able to do anything with it, then have to constantly swap back to the actual faction I need to do raids/dungeons etc.
I still have stuff left to do on the covenants but it’s not been long enough yet that I want to go back and do the last things. Some day.
the problem was they provided contents that didn’t last long or were not good as catch ups. forbidden reach was the only actual catch up content. dreamsurge and rifts only gave one item per week to let you catch up . the rest of the gear were too low. they should’ve spread the content to 2 years and add another tier instead of fated
If everything instantly geared your character you’d be back here complaining there is nothing to do. If it’s once a week, you complain it’s not enough.
They literally can not win.
I used the vendors for both Dreamsurge and Time Rifts to fill in gaps. But I treat all catch up as something for alts. My main does Mythic Plus and Raids so all she does is the collectibles. Which for me is also content. Granted not everyone is a collector but similarly not everyone does M+ or Raiding.
