Like the title suggests, eyebeam mosts often seems to not hit anything, nothing in log either.
Does anyone else has this problem?
I had this several times on my dh, me Eyebeam looked like it’s just visual animation, no dmg, nothing.
After a bit of investigation, it seems it’s because I macroed it with a trinket. I reporte d the bug.
any item use, hability cast etc cancels ur eye beam channeling, and so it’s dmg output
This is normal even if the item doesn’t trigger a cooldown?
I changed so the item use is the first in the macro and didn’t face the issue, so far.
ANY attempt to do anything whilst Eyebeam is casting will flat out interrupt it, except for moving.
Well there’s the problem. You were trying to use something whilst channeling an ability, which will not work.
Shouldn’t they be sent to the server at the same time? The trinket shares global cooldown only with other the trinket, not with spells, so it makes no sense to me that the trinket should intrerrupt an ability which should basically, in theory, start exactly at the sametime.
When I first made the macro I tested it on dummies in Orgrimmar to ensure it worked and it worked, while this happened very often, but not entirely, after the next login while I was in outdoor environment.
I don’t know how about you but everytime I press the trinket keybind during eye beam, it gets iterrupted and trinket is used. Same with any other ability.
So basically, using anything during eye beam is not a clever idea.
Yeah, I agree with you on that assessment, if you use and item after you cast eyebeam it should cancel it.
My logic when dealing with macros which activates multiple stuff at the sametime and don’t share+trigger global cooldown, however, dictates that those abilities/items shouldn’t cancel eachother as they should start at the exactly the sametime.
I am aware though that my logic isn’t correct on a lot of stuff and I’m also not versed in macroing, so my assessment is absolute crap.
Thanks all for taking the time to answer me.
