Is general chat disable or just dead?

I am just wondering whether there is a bug or if it has been disabled , I have not seen anyone talking in /1 out in the world or in cities ? Makes trying to find a guild or people to play with Extremely difficult, which is kinda lame for an MMO

General is usually dead yeah.
/2 is where all the banter is going on, if you’re on a RP realm.

Its mostly dead as game become hyper casual there is literaly no reason to talk in general chat.

even for casual is bad,game stutters too much,0 quality in development expac,no wonder 12 month sub promo offer haha.

its dead but the sharding also doesnt help. At the launch of the expansion everyone was standing at the docks but once in df i suddenly rarely saw anyone

Yeah iv noticed that, barely see any body out in the world, for a MMO its depressing, However they have ruined the AH in the process . . .

Its the scaling. Took a boat to df with 500 people, I was alone when I arrived 0.0 noone from the boat nor anyone questing.

The only place you can still find chatting 24/7 is /trade on Argent Dawn alliance.

People are to scared to write anything because of ton of people reporting everything possible to troll others.

Its rather they have no reason to write anything. You dont need any guidence or help from others players beocuse game is too easy and forgiving.

General chat is mostly dead, unless youre in the azure span, dragon isles on Stormrage server… there is this dude named Fargo that doesnt stop talking lmao. He will entertain you for sure :slight_smile:

It’s been dead long before this expansion. It’s rare to see anyone talking in it since WoD

So epic for a MMORPG . . you join instances and no body talks to you, just a solo game with the occasional “other” person flying / running past

I’ve noticed it’s pretty silent, unless you’ve got wpvp on. In dungeons there’s literally nothing. I’ve said hello on multiple occasions and received no response, so I just don’t bother anymore.

General Chat has never been used much in WoW.
