Let’s say you see the same bots at the same spot everyday, and there just happens to be a powerful mob nearby that can kill them with aoe, is kiting this mob towards the bots and having it kill them against the ToS if you do it every time you see them at that same location? Since I think this would be considered grieving if done to a normal player over and over again, and could lead to a ban.
With bots I mean, auto-attack and auto-looting, standing there 24/7 with the corpses remaining there for a couple of hours after they died. until the botter notices they are dead and puts them back into bot mode.
If past circumstances serve as an example then even if this was a player it would not be outright bannable offence, if you was obviously trying to grief I think you would possibly get a warning before they moved to ban you, but I’m not 100% on this, whoever overlooking the case may take different actions depending on their own experiences, assuming there is no guidelines for the staff on specific scenarios and punishments.
A legitimate player could avoid this easily by just jumping phase from you anyway.
Also I bet if you recorded yourself doing this to bots or even multiboxers it would be well recieved by a fair few lol
No, because the bot would most likely not report this to a GM, and even if they did, they would simply get banned for botting. Yes, technically speaking, you could be “harming” someone elses gaming experience and thus be griefing, but in a scenario like this I cannot see you being punished. A bot does not have a gaming experience that can be ruined.
did it to a bot every day for about a month and died laughing each time I feared his target over a cliff face and watched him try to chase after it and die. Never got even a warning, i even reported to blizz (and yes, they didn’t ban him) what I was doing and the live gm laughed and said its fine
