Is hit combo worthless?

I took it at the start because i liked the idea and used it all through legion. Buti only looked at the stats yeaterday. 6%? Was it always that? It seems worthless. Why wouldi not take one of the other 2?

How is a 6% damage increase with nearly 100% up time worthless?

I dont know whats considered good tbh. 6% doesnt seem great to me. At least right now. If i deal 1k damage, I do an extra 60. Doesnt seem great. Ofc it adds up but i think wind or xuen would be better.

Maybe its better for longer fights

Try doing the same math with more realistic numbers.

At lower ilvls Xuen is better but the higher you the better HC becomes, eventually passing/becoming equal to Xuen. Xuen is easier to play with as you just need to use it on CD.

Do note that HC is better in aoe tho

You can check into warcraftlogs what the top players choose if you are wondering too deeply about this and as far as I can see on no boss does anyone use HC instead of Xuen, talking about mythic difficulty BoD.

Yeah was thinking its better for aoe. Might switch it over if i ever become a raid dps player. Keep hit combo for open world. Already have monk mastery for same gameplay anyway

For open world, I would frankly recommend Xuen anyway.

Why? Because he’s on-demand burst, which means he can give you more than 6% for that one tough mob. Also because he AoEs, he may on occasion pull a spare mob off you if you haven’t hit it yet. He’s not a great panic button, but occasionally he works as one.

6% in the open world is not going to be noticeable by anyone. Raiders and M+ dungeoneers may favour it when their gear level is enough to make it worthwhile over Xuen, since every % counts on the dps meter.
